- Sandra: Oh. What happened?
- Zoey: Nothing. And that was exactly the problem! She was unbearably bland! The human equivalent of a marshmallow!
- Zoey: It’s just not fair! There are so many cool and cute girls at our school! And all of them only like boys!
- Zoey: It would be much more bearable if they all looked like slugs.
- Sandra: Sorry not sorry, Miss Irvine.

“Miss Irvine”?
Ok it’s been a long time since i’ve posted or watched the commentaries, but following the last 4 comics and the fact now Zoey is single again I think she’s gonna make a comeback against Larissa about the benefits of going out with girls! And Larissa is going to fall for it.
Maybe it’s time to give up and become “one of us”, as Larisa said.
Ooh, an unexpected plot development. I’m excited to see where this will lead.

So Zoey is looking for a new girlfriend? Clearly the best path to that is to look for the most beautiful girl aside from Zoey, and then begin an aggressive cybernetic brain-surgery procedure to make her fall in love with Zoey.

Larissa already stole Sandra’s first kiss way back so I wouldn’t put it past the Larissa somehow getting involved here lol
Still waiting for Larissa to get married. Since she’s sick and US laws are strange she should be able to get marriage at that age.
Waiting for Woo’s secret to be revealed to the public!!!

We’ve had a few hints that Larisa might be bi, even if she hasn’t quite figured that out yet.

To my knowledge, there is no state in the US that allows a person to be married at the age of 12 or 13. The youngest one I can think of off the top of my head, would be either 14 or 16, and that’s with parental permission. My source being that I live here, and I actually looked up age of consent laws because somebody was bringing them up in an argument on another site.
Can’t wait for the return of Woo in the next story arc in which Sandra and Woo “help” Zoey finding the girlfriend!

At first I thought that Sandra’s comment in the last panel was another Final Fantasy reference, but considering Irvine is (a) his GIVEN name, (b) a man, and (c) a nice guy, that made no sense. A Google search for “Miss Ivrine” brought up the villain of a TV series I’ve never watched, which makes MUCH more sense in context.
I liked Julia.

Yeah, a running gag in the strip is that Zoey’s last name switches from “Irwin” to “Irvine,” sometimes even in the same comic.
I stick to “Irwin” because that was her original last name, and chalk “Irvine” up to either being a typo or an attempted retcon.
Why do I get the foreboding sense that she’s going to try and steal Sandra from Cloud?
Highly unlikely. She would have to write an exceptionally good love poem to beat the one Cloud wrote.
