Re: Gaia, after First Look
Few examples: Exterminating dwarfes and no other fantasy races (except elves) I know that some readers will miss certain fantasy races, but they are not needed to make the story itself more interesting. Final Fantasy VIII and Harry Potter were also mostly human. only two gods (of everything and not...

Re: News about "Gaia"
I’ve written the first chapter (around 45 pages) and I’ve begun to write the dialog for the first pages of the second chapter. Planning such a long story takes a lot of hard thinking, but I’m now sure about most of the stuff that happens in the second chapter.

Re: Why did you choose to make "main" cast so young?
Well, until December 2010 they were 11 and looked like 10 which was a bit problematic. Now they are 12 and also look like 12, so their age should be less of a problem.

Re: Translation to Spanish
From our FAQ: Can I translate Sandra and Woo into another language? No, you are not allowed to change the English or German text of the strips. We had a bad experience with a fan-made Spanish translation whose quality did not match our standard. If you want to post a Sandra and Woo strips in a forum...

I had to change the style of the forum to “subsilver2” since the “serenity” style did not display the recaptcha plugin on the registration page.
I also deleted all registered users who have not yet written a single post.

Re: cameo ideas
I actually have an idea for a cameo of a character from Gunnerkrigg Court. But it’s a bit complicated since something else has to happen first in Sandra and Woo and it might take a long time until it’s the right time for that story arc.

Re: Reporting spelling and grammar mistakes
In 0232-the-fall, either "it started" or "it all started" would be idiomatic (en-US). "All of it started" is not incorrect, but is not a phrase a native speaker would use. Using Google “All of it started” seems to be a commonly used phrase and I like the sound of it. I...

Another one: [0203] Political advertising / Wahlwerbung General description: We do not really have a character in our cast for this strip. It has to be a woman. Time Friends
Several years ago there was a feature on Halfpixel.com called “Time Friends”. Basically you could write the dialog for the empty speech bubbles of the strips you can see below.
Here are the three strips I created back then.

You could not do the role-playing as the “Empress of Northia” with a 14-year-old teenager.

I don’t think the portrayal of the behavior of children in Sandra and Woo compared to their age is more unrealistic than that in Peanuts or Calvin and Hobbes.

Re: Sandra and Woo art style and characters
I've looked at all the different styles in which different artists had drawn Sandra and Woo, and I like Powree's better than the alternatives. But Sandra as 10-year-old girl in jeans (of strip 1) looked quite different from the other artists. Was that look decided by Powree, or did you decide on th...

Re: Sandra and Woo in Spanish
Thanks for the information. That’s unfortunate. I took the Spanish version offline until it can be ensured that the translator comes up with a translation that’s faithful to the original.
That’s why I’m always skeptical about fan translations.
