You forgot about dark and dry humor.
Five for the price of three actually.
Possibly, enclose everything in a frame titled “Meta”
Very clever. Took me a moment to figure it out.
If the biting pear hails from Salamanca, whence cometh the smooching Apple? Lascvicia?
I usually open a S&W tab and an XKCD tab in sequence… and now I’m confused!
Here we see a LOL WUT in its natural habitat…

I approve of this. I would also like to carry your babies. We can work out the problems regarding my lack of a womb later, just take me now you comedic hunk.
I’m missing something – what’s the pun?
Because we all know that two-thirds of a pun is P-U. ;^)
Pun? That doesn’t look like gag at all
@ Ron Bauerle:
RUNNING gag.
The fact that the pear has a name, and it’s the fancy sounding “the biting pear of salamanca” fills me with joy.
Credit goes to the original artist, Ursula Vernon, whom I have met and who is a delight:

Ah yes, a running gag about running examples of gags. I would have a “double” on the pun if there were any more gags.
…eh, I could see this comment getting taken down. Proceed to the Wikipedia page on “Gag” at your own risk!
Yes, this is a good one. And of course complete with the “eating sid” tag as well. 🙂

Ah the innocent people who think that one is offensive…
@ Thomas J. Lee:
That she is.
See, I was reading the pun as “Types of Humor” as it the names for the different styles were all “typed”.
ok, the “pun” part got me
The mouseover text really should have been “meta” just for this page.
Why do you do jokes about eating their bodies?

Of course the local Megatokyo reader has excellent taste. >:D
@ Trimutius:
You know nowadays, it’s hip to be offended by everything.
You almost have to write a disclaimer before any kind of social interaction
@ Rhiakath:
People usually like it when I interact with them. Have you tried not antagonizing everyone?
@ Ron Bauerle:
The pun is “running gag”:
1) A running gag is a joke that goes on from one scene to another.
2) All the pictures show animals running, so it’s a joke about running
I hate pears. This does not help.
Oh Glob! It’s the Biting Pear!
XD I did a version of this thing a few years back when it was running around DA again.
