Slideshow: Creation of a comic page

Post by Novil »

Have a look at this very interesting step-by-step slideshow showing the creation of a comic page by the artist Jonathan Dalton.

I think it would be really neat if you did something like this so we could see the creation process for a sandra and woo page.
Also watching him color it in made me wonder, are you considering ever coloring any of the comics, like once in awhile do one or just not at all?

I don’t know if I want to talk about our strip creation process already. Maybe I’ll set that aside as an extra for our first “Sandra and Woo” book.

For your second question, see the FAQ on the About page:
Any plans of making the strip colored?

Not at the moment. Coloring is very time consuming. We’d rather publish an extra strip than a colored one.
“Extra strip” can also mean one which consists of 8 panels like “Wildlife feeding” instead of the usual 3 or 4 panels.
