Oh, God no! Woo’s being institutionalized! Starting to sympathize with his captor! Don’t fall for it, Woo! Don’t fall for it! (bad pun ftw)
Something isn’t adding up here…
If the eagle wanted to eat him or feed him to it’s eaglets, he would have just dropped Woo so he’d be dead and wouldn’t put up a fight.
Any theories anyone?

Smart choice, Woo. Smart choice.
Dracula> She might be going with typical comic conventions, or maybe the eagle’s babies would find a feisty raccoon more appetizing. Killing Woo right away would kill the comic strip, so an intelligent eagle can’t happen here. I’ve never seen a cartoon or comic where an eagle kills its catch before reaching its nest. Besides, if killing was in the cards, having Woo put up a fight would be more dramatic.
Still, I’m rooting for Woo to get out of this alive.
Heh, the Eagle’s face in the last panel. I’ll bet it’s thinking to itself “Why do I always grab the dumb ones?”
I really love the subtle yet effective way in which Powree has managed to give the eagle such expresivity with so little changes in the “face”. I really like the last panel 🙂

At least this one asked. Normally, people wait till they realize it’s a ‘very poor choice of words’ then let go.
Woo! New comic!!! Unfortunately it involves Woo almost dying so… can’t wait for the next one to alleviate some of the tension… or jack it higher.
that eagle is not a Bad guy…he asked woo if he rlly wanted to “let him go”…

Well, not exactly what I had in mind…
To quote The Joker: “VERY poor choice of words!”
The eagle is like: “they always do that… sigh.”
Maybe he’s just a sarcastic lonely eagle?
Eagle: “Sure, I love to talk to you guys but I don’t have time to stay idle for chit chat, I have to ride the hot stream y’know, what my life told me to, so I have this idea to grab you guys and take em for a ride, sure I will eat some of you, but I always ask first.”
Woo: “And if we refuse?”
Eagle: “Well, no one refuse my request really, I mean, dropping from a great height or a little twist on their neck can silent them easily, well, at least I ask first.”
Woo: “eeep…”
Awwww come on that was too easy.
I’m not as impressed with the perspective of the third panel, the lines are fine, the texture is great, but I have difficulty percieving the same depth from the aspect of what woo is seeing. That is to say, I’m seeing a 2 dimensional background not an actual location.

Eagle is quickly changing his mind from “Helping the lost kids” to “Drop Woo in the river for the fun of it”.
I swear, if that is PWOITGSLFSK …. There should be some punching going on later!
I love how Woo is able to speak a question mark, I wonder what that would sound like?

Since when can Racoons talk 😛 Some birds, in fact, can talk.
Maybe the eagle simply got a “technical” problem he needs a racoon for?
I mean they are good at cracking stuff, picking locks, etc… Racoons are like real-live Gremlins…
Maybe he wants Woo to open a cage containing one of his friends… If he wanted to eat Woo he might have killed him already ^^’

Dracula Wolf: Raptors have talons that can crush bone… If he really wanted to hurt Woo, he would already be dead. Instead, he tells him in a roundabout way that he needs to hold still, or he might drop him. Almost like he’s concerned for Woo’s well-being… No, I think he’s got something else in mind. Maybe he needs help, and somehow, a raccoon is the only creature that can help him. ….Or maybe Folgrimeo is right, and she’s just doing it for dramatic tension lol. Only time will tell.

Oh, and allow me to add that we don’t actually know if this eagle is indeed a “he”.
I still think they’re going to end up as friends. I don’t know how, but that’s kinda how I see it ending.

That the eagle may be nice and is actually picking him up to get him out of the forest knowing that his friends/owner will chase after him.
The eagle is now my favorite character.

For the record, I’m sure Woo isn’t afraid of the fall, even from that height. However that sudden stop would daunt almost anyone.

It’s likely to get dicey for a while, but when it’s all over there has to be a way out of it for our erstwhile Coon. Might be as simple as waiting for the right moment (landing zone) and tickling the heck outta the eagle. And he’s NOT going to be expecting that…

In many comics, I’d agree that logic would secure Woo. However, given the past examples, this comic has great range that can follow both stars, either star or even concentrate on extras for quite a period.
I can think of a few examples where a star of the movie/TV series is lost. Often, this causes some kind of disasterous effect that ruins the show, alienates the viewers and/or sends the series into a tail spin that is unrecoverable.

Not necessarily, a lot of eagles would probably wait to kill Woo so their eaglets would have fresh meat. Plus, the blood would draw other predators that the eagle wouldn’t want, and live prey is good learning for the eaglets to learn how to hunt and kill. But then, if Woo died, there wouldn’t be a story. Always assume you’re gonna get a happy ending where all the main-main characters end up safe, ’cause unless you’re reading RL Stine or a series book, they nearly never end in tears.

There’s also the chance that Woo gets torn to bloody bits, but then gets revived with raccoon CPR after being pulled out of the river, thus discovering that it was all just a dream.
hmm or maybe theres necromancy in play,and the comic will be titled sandra and woo the racoon ghoul in the future 😛
or woo was drunk on the set and got fired from the series, being replaced by the eagle 🙂

Okay, so my prediction is that Cloud and Larisa figure out that Woo can talk by the end of this story arc. Idk how, but thats what I feel like is going to happen.
I remember the artist saying something like this will be a major story arc, and its still far too soon for Larisa’s past to be revealed. The only other thing I can think of thats important is this.
@taj You’ve lost me, the thing that is important is “this.” I mean no offence but I need specifics otherwist this could just as easily mean that or this could mean something important and I wouldn’t know. However, it is just as likely that this could mean Woo’s capture or Woo’s fear of heights.
