This image was originally posted as filler art but I removed it from the comic archive after a week so that the flow of the story isn’t harmed by it.
Though beautiful, the portrait of Lilith is missing a thing.
THE STAFF.
Is the portrait of Lilith not older than the cover of the comic?
Because if I remember correctly, I have been reading since before Gaia was put up- and I started in 2011…
I think? Since it wasn’t the most important thing in my life I may have really false memory lol
EBWOP: I started reading Sandra & Woo first, and started reading Gaia when the cover was put up in 2011.
However it appears the comic has been running since y2k; my memory is indeed false!
Novil, You have a very talented mother.
@ Alakaslam:
From the About / FAQ tab:
Just curious, was Lilith originally older? I realize it’s a different artist and thus, a different style, but even so, the picture of Lilith here seems to be of a slightly greater age than the Lilith we see now. Not by much (I’d say 5 years at most), but still older.
Small question: Is the comic switching to a MWF update schedule?

How interesting. When I look at that original artwork, I see a mature middle aged woman in her forties, maybe early fifties. She has power and gravitas. You don’t want to mess with this lady.

Doubtful. Remember, they are doing both Sandra and Woo, and Gaia. That’s an awful lot on their plates just for starters. Plus, don’t forget that Gaia is a step up from S&W in terms of technical detail. Nobody really worries that much about the finer details in S&W. If Sandra’s bedroom is next to the kitchen in one strip and on the opposite side of the house in another, nobody really cares or notices. However with Gaia, if they give a window four panes in one panel, and five in another, the fans on this site will call them on it.
Given all that’s on their plates, I find it incredible that they have been managing a two-a-week schedule as it is.
That being said, I really don’t know, but I think it highly unlikely.
@ PMark:
Well, that’s where encouraging patience on our part can make such schedules in the future. If they make a comic buffer, they can follow a quicker schedule; in order to have said buffer, they would need time spent not putting much up.
I agree though, such a schedule would probably take more time than they are taking as I believe a buffer would be necessary as is.
It doesn’t “evolve” much; looks like you guys have a pretty good handle on what you are making.
@ Marscaleb:
Yep. I’ve seen some people (me included) whose initial layout doesn’t look anything similar to the final result. lol
The process just suffers radical changes. But I see Powree holds a good grasp on what she’s doing.
It evolves from german to english. Well, english DOES have a germanic root.
Just thought I should mention, in the RPG poll the last option is “Not interested in both” where it should read “Not interested in either”
@ Infernal_Translator:
I never realized this was written in German! Reading both versions, I have a clearer idea of the emotions behind the words.
Not specifically a comment on this filler but…
I’ve always been very impressed by both the story and (even more so) the art in Gaia. One detail that struck me is that you have three female main characters (Lilith, Viviana and now San de Vertis); and they are all three beautiful (not unusual) but are quite DIFFERENTLY beautiful, in face, figure, and especially style: VERY unusual! So many strips have “cookie cutter” glamorous heroines; it’s refreshing to see real personalities instead!

As a writer that would drive me insane. The less changes between sketch and final version the better.
