Very true. Once he recovers from the essentially severed hand and has time to think about it, he might realize she saved his life there. By shooting at the hole and knocking him back, she made sure it didn’t close on his head.
We never see the guy again so we never see what his arm is like. Also, he’s a prison warden- people wanting to kill you is a normal thing.
Lilli stops in the middle of a jailbreak to use valuable magic power to shoot at the warden, saving his life. Mistakes were made by everybody.
