I suspect if she told them she has shield with 10 minutes duration they wouldn’t bother running.
Oh you know a spell’s good when it’s named after yourself.
How were they not being selfish?
@ Alke:
a) No point in needless sacrifice. They were already being unselfish just being there attempting a rescue.
b) They can continue the fight elsewhere
c) maybe bring back reinforcements and rescue Lilith.
If they had known that back in the storeroom, would they have just locked the door and waited it out? Instead of having a dozen guards and a “High Mage” to deal with? This is the sort of asset that Ilias or Ryn would be expected to mention.
