My comment for this page from Gaia: sic mundus creatus est:I spent at least an hour optimizing the blending of the firework effect after Powree sent me the colored page. My work really paid off if you compare it with the initial version where the contrast between the fireworks and the background was too low.

I agree! The fireworks do look especially striking.
Originally when I read this page, I was skeptical about the effects never repeating. Surely they must loop at some point, right?
Now that I know a lot more about procedural generation – especially given the *size* of the effects there… yeah, I can easily believe that they don’t repeat now.

Even if there’s a repetition somewhere, the human mind might reminiscence, or do some other thing. There is a ton going on, to focus on and admire in just the single page the comic captures, one could study the thing in motion for… hours or days without boredom.
