To be fair, nothing really goes terribly wrong in the upcoming scenes.
They’re already trapped in the labyrinth enchantment — that happened in #24. (You can also see that Viviana somehow doesn’t feel the effect, showing that the labyrinth affects her differently.) They have no way out until Lilith breaks it much later on. Viviana does get hurt by the labyrinth, but Eldor saves her — it’s not his goal, at this stage, to hurt her. The devastation of Oakdale and the trapping of the main cast has already happened (see: “Lilith’s parents” who can’t leave, but don’t know why; also, Faye’s correspondence never reaching them), so what’s about to happen is, in actuality, a very minor event — but a huge revelation.

To be fair, most people probably wouldn’t pick up on #24 as where things go “terribly wrong,” but this page is a *very* specific point where something is very evidently wrong right away. “SKREECH” is a very clear noise you do *not* want to hear when you don’t expect it.
