My comment for this page from Gaia: sic mundus creatus est:At this point, the second half of Gaia was giving me a headache as well. I had some major scenes in my head, but no idea how to connect them. A large portion of the plot was entirely missing. In the end, only a fraction of my initial ideas were used without drastic changes. For example, Ryker and Cassius weren’t part of the initial concept for The Way Back Home. Instead, Ilias and Viviana were supposed to join a rebel group operating in Greendew.

Is that… is that a possible reference to Scarlet Carolus? Or rather a preliminary thought before Scarlet Carolus came about?

Yes, I was coming up with the first ideas for what would eventually become Scarlet back then.
That’s quite the easter egg for Scarlet! Perhaps she’ll meet Sarah.
Or find her unburied skeleton on a frozen mountain.“Ileasaar’s capital city, Greendew, is built around the Great Tree,” I guess there would be anti-somebodys found there. I think the “Two cult” rebels were all that was needed. There’s enough rebel groups with the anti King Olric movement, that any more would have subtracted attention from somewhere else.
Quite a while ago, this Easter Egg. So, you had the story of Scarlet percolating around since at least this point here. I do like when stories make even slight references to each other, showing some interconnectivity.
Someone didn’t get the message about a murder party, a treason conviction, a botched execution and a break-out?
Oh wait, that’s what that “something happened four weeks ago” was all about. A maze spell and everything.
But then, how did the books get there last week? The people bringing that in still stuck in the village?

What makes you think the books really arrived only last week?
