There was no reason to think that that would work. That’s like drawing out the king all the way from the castle, by TP’ing a border guard’s outpost.

It worked better than what would be reasonable to expect, but as a general idea, trying to kick him out of the town and then following him to find out HOW he’s going to leave the town makes sense.
