My comment for this page from Gaia: sic mundus creatus est:Viviana’s visit to the temple was a spontaneous idea I had when writing this part of the story. That means it was pure happenstance that one of the best scenes and best characters in the whole comic came into being. The temple turned out truly lovely with the colorful flowers, the playful animals, the windows with tiled colored glass, and the light shining through the windows.

This was one of the unexpectedly beautiful scenes in the story. I think the story was helped along by seeing the peaceful little chapel in the peaceful little village, just stepping away from the conspiracies and plots. I remember that guesses had ranged that the priestess was everything from a helpful NPC druid, to the witch from Lilly’s dream. I don’t think we ever found out what was up the staircase. It could be a shop, the altarstone (though Gaia probably doesn’t have such a thing), or Malva’s bedroom- which makes it a _very_ open access area. 😀
A great scene. Also all the more jarring knowing that in actuality it’s a charred ruin, with a few timbers standing.
@ Carefulrogue: Which brings up the question, which one looked better, the real one? With wilting plants, humidity, animal poop, and some burk’s initials carved into the bench? Or the simulation that was crafted by an unknown amount of elves working in graphic design?
Malva: I wok up one day and it’s in 4k! Thank Gaia! 🙂
@ Vicious Sand:
Eldor probably made a 3D magical copy of everything before burning this to the ground. Otherwise the “villagers” (which are projections fueled by the people dreaming or something) would have noticed something weird.
So he copied the poop as well.
Since Malva is a quite powerful mage, she probably uses her magic to help everything grow and keep it clean.
