My comment for this page from Gaia: sic mundus creatus est:Malva wasn’t meant to be a recurring character. But she was universally liked by our readers and I also fell in love with her immediately. So I tried to give her as many guest appearances as possible later in the story. And she played her role perfectly in all of them!

Wow, Vivi, first question and it’s a level 10 monster. Vivi does not mess around.
In Spanish, “malva” is both the name for the mallow flower, and for its color, mauve. I’d say this isn’t a coincidence.
@ Antonio Rodríguez:
Many color names com from flowers, in many languages. Rose, violet… “complicated” color names are even more likely to come from stuff like flowers.
And many female names come from flowers too. Rose (as well), violet, daisy, … (not a native english speaker but there are probably many more).
Having a name that means (in your language or another) both a flower and a color makes sense. 🙂
I really like the name “Malva” by the way. And I really appreciated how Novil gave her more and more presence in this comic.

@ Sekhmet:
That the name matches the flower isn’t a coincidence. As you say, it is usual, not only in Spanish, but in other languages, too.
What I was talking about is that the flower/color may have been the inspiration for Novil to choose the priestess’ name. Sorry if I didn’t explain it.
