Vivi has a good memory. A lot of people wouldn’t have noticed it was facing the opposite direction than how she placed it in the night before.

That’s what I thought as well the first time through, but in this replay of the story I’m thinking she always puts it with the hilt facing towards herself when she sleeps. So she can grab it quickly if dream monsters come out of the armoire at night.
