[SPOILER] Click here to see my commentary for this page!
My comment for this page from Gaia: sic mundus creatus est:The cult is after Sandril and Dyson because they’re now in possession of Arathor’s sword Lightbringer. Eldor knows that it’s one of the few things that can permanently destroy his body. Powree really outdid herself with the aerial view in the third panel!

As a page layout it’s a good idea. It’s not enough that things are bad for the heroes, the readers have to know _why_ things are bad for the heroes.
You know, sometimes I actually kind of liked the cult. They seemed fairly progressive and egalitarian (Eldor even does a fair bit of work both magical and engineerijng), people aren’t afraid of him. They do seem very respectful and aware of his capabilities, but they’re not “officer on Darth Vader’s ship scared to make a mistake” mindset. And, well, I like shiny things. They are people working together to accomplish a goal that isn’t really explicitly stated to date, and that’s admirable. (Even if the end goal probably isn’t.)
But it is scenes like this where the glove comes off and the nasty mentalities show through. Killing everyone and anyone who even remotely looks like they might be Dyson or Sandril? Neither of them is super distinctive or unusual in appearance. That’s basically a “kill everyone and we’ll sift through the ashes for what we want later” order. That’s the sort of stain on an organization’s behavior that is basically nonredeemable. The end goal does *not* justify the means.
As to the art of this page, I agree. It’s a great effect, and really makes the juxtaposition of events clear.
@ Zitchas:
I think you are mixing up the cult and the elves in the tower. Those are not same organization. The elves are Eldor’s people, the cult is just tool, to be turned into meat shields after he no longer needs them.
@ HKMaly:
That is true. I have always generally assumed that the people in the tower and the people in the field were part of the same organization. Likely different parts of it, though. In all likelyhood they know more about what’s going on than the general membership in the countryside, but that that is often the case in most organizations, not exclusive to cults.
