She did try to catch him. Maybe if Ryker wasn’t magically propelled, the net might have worked.
This is a very clear parallel to Vivi killing those guards: it was not the intent, yet the result is… predictable, if one stops and thinks instead of being caught up in the moment. I wonder if Ira ever thought about it afterwards.
Still amazed she’s not in jail and Ryker’s parents didn’t press charges.

Well they were harboring wanted fugitives, so odds are good that the parents are on their way to prison themselves.

I really have to sit down and re-read the comic from start to finish at some point. Is a PDF version sold anywhere?
