I love how Eldor, with all his big, long term plans and machinations just kinda has no idea this is all happening right now. People are just unpredictable, no matter how smart you are.
And Ilias still hasn’t done anything, either. After making a point of telling Ilias to do a specific manoeuvre, too. She has a plan, and I suspect that it involves waiting until something happens to disrupt line of sight without suspicion (like an nice big explosive spell cast by Niven) for Ilias to vanish. My guess is to reappear at someone’s throat with the rainbow knife, but maybe to take out shields or sneak past the guards while everyone is distracted.
And yeah, it’s awesome that Elder, for all his power, is totally unaware of what’s going on. He’s lost touch with the wheels in motion, I think… He’s such a good villain. Such an interesting blend of power and omniscience and ignorance and humanity…
