My comment for this page from Gaia: sic mundus creatus est:I spent quite some time on the three colored text boxes. Choosing the right colors and blending settings for such things usually involves a lot of trial and error.

So the TSS can cut lifeforms off from the Source. And they go mutant without it. Gaia then gets control of the spirit stream and already has the blue stream. And Baal gets the redstream, making three streams in total in play, not counting the streamless. This why Trias makes sense. There’s room for a third god, since Gaia and Baal can’t hold two streams at once for long.
And this narration level skips saying what was in the TSS that Eldor wants back. Issac cast the TSS on the Source, not on Unexplained Thing or Person, unless Unmentioned Person was inside the Source. We don’t know when the TSS that Eldor wants dropped was cast. We don’t know when the TSS was taken down either, or even if the TSS spell was the same casting that Eldor was talking about. Issac TSSing the Source wouldn’t be the same as TSSing an elven princess. The TSS on the Source has to have been dropped since then because the chaos is over, which means that Issac or someone then was able to break the TSS like Lilly is being trained to do now. So that would mean that Eldor really does need a second TSS to be broken, even though there should already be people able to do so. And that the TSS is still up on the Source.

Created the redstream HOW? There are so many missing bits from this story …
@ Vicious Sand:
As per WBH, Eldor wants the time suspension shield broken around the Source so that Bhaal has access to it again. The chaos (with the mutations) is over because Gaia gained control of the Spiritstream, being able to bypass the shield around the Source. No second time suspension shield, no taking down of the original shield since Isaac cast it, and Gaia is able to control two Streams just fine, just maybe not while also waging a war.
@ Icarus:
I meant WBH175.
@ HKMaly:
If you look at the Settings page of this comic, you get a little more context. The Bluestream was Gaia, sort of like her creation and her lifeblood at the same time, and the Spiritstream was the same for Bhaal. When Gaia segregated the Spiritstream from Bhaal, Bhaal was furious, and proceeded to take the negative emotions, the darkness, to fashion the Redstream. I took the Redstream to be the “dregs” of the Spiritstream that Bhaal continued to control AFTER Gaia took most of it and locked it away. Under the settings page, one clue to this is that the Redstream is stated to be weaker than the Bluestream, but also enabled spells that the Bluestream cannot, like manipulating souls. Sounds an awful lot like Bhaal took the dregs of the Spiritstream available, to make “negative Spiritstream magic”, or the Redstream.
