[SPOILER] Click here to see my commentary for this page!
My comment for this page from Gaia: sic mundus creatus est:This is one of my favorite Gaia pages. I asked Powree to draw several sketches for this page and requested many more changes than usual. I wanted this important page to have a perfect composition and look as beautiful as possible. And the page turned out even better than I anticipated! The main reasons for this are the great design of the sundog and the beautiful blue sky. Coloration, lighting, composition, camera position, character placement, I don’t know how any of it could have been done better.

Yeah, this is a beautiful page. The first time I saw it during the original run, I had to zoom in, and the shock of seeing the rainbow blades slicing through the nearby dragons who just wanted to help…. Made me wonder just what was about to happen to Vivi, who was at the epicenter of that chaos!
It’d make a nice stained glass window somewhere. The two dragons getting caught in the backlash is sure to get downplayed. But let’s ask the real questions here- did the rainbow knife survive? 🙂 The bar basement mishap wasn’t anything on a level like this.
It is a beautiful image; although I never realized that the two other dragons were actually being sliced apart by the rainbow knife. Kind of wishing I hadn’t read the comments and remained blissfully ignorant thinking that the dragons were just driven back by the energies and/or holding back to avoid the brave flying human with the dagger at risk. (I have no idea if they would recognize Vivi, but they would certainly recognize someone trying something different to take down their common foe)
But yes, a very beautiful image.
I wonder what kind of a glide ratio a dead dragon has? Or do they more or less plummet. Might be important to the person who just shoved a rainbow knife into their brain.

You mean glide ratio of dragon who is dead AND cut to multiple pieces?
@ Wayne:
Probably not actually too important. She has independent flight, after all. She just needs to bail and avoid getting tangled with it as it falls.
@ Zitchas:
We have seen several wizards, on the ground, trying to “do” something.
If they saw what happened up there, obviously, they would have tried to use magic to slow down the fall of everything up there, either to try to save them (it’s probably too late for the two brave dragons, but Viviana will need help), or at least prevent extra damage from the fall of everything.
@ Sekhmet:
Given her proximity to the point of impact of the rainbow blade, I’m inclined to guess that either she is reasonably alright and can manage her own continued flight, or shredded beyond help. Either way, the falling dragon bodies are the big hazard that should probably get most or all of the attention.
