From those I know with prothesis, a new limb can be hard to get used to, they feel different than the original. Legs are especially hard since we use our feet to balance.
I wish I could have her ability to bounce back ^^’ The contrast between the traumatic realization and the “oh cool!” face in the 4th panel is stark, but feels so very fitting 🙂
I’ll continue the griping, that I think her reaction in panel 4 is… shockingly positive, given the horror of the previous page, and the fear and mourning she’ll do on the next page. It feels out of character… not for her personality overall–she’s certainly a fan of magitech, ala Lilith clone–but just for this sequence.

You are ignoring context. She’s had the rainbow knife for some time and knows the risks. She dropped onto a dragon and attacked it, she would have know at that point she was risking her life. Killing the dragon and surviving doing so is a big win.

@ Frith Ra:
These are magical prosthetic legs though, and I suspect none of the amputees you know have those.
