From what I recall, “Long live the Queen” is but one instance in a whole genre of such things. I suspect it’s a popular game, and a lot of people can sympathize with being poisoned by their minister of foreign affairs. Thankfully real life is much more grey mallable than the random number generator of the game…
I suspect that having a bunch of memories extracted and put on public display would be kind of… intrusive? Especially since the person doing the digging around is probably going to see a lot more stuff in the process. I wonder if it is limited to visual memories, or the person doing the extraction can experience the thoughts too? If it’s just visual, then that’s not too bad, although potentially sensitive. (For instance, I wonder if San got an eyeful of Ilias?)
From Ilias’ comments, I think they skimmed through then copied some specific scenes which they used to make a highlight reel. I don’t know mechanics, but even just an audio-visual-only copy of her last few months would be a huge time commitment to sift through., never mind a huge amount of data…
@ Chris:
Pretty sure it’s intentional! Both Gaia and Scarlet have references to Long Live the Queen in them, and I know at least in Scarlet’s case it’s definitely intentional, so it wouldn’t surprise me here either!
I mean, who hasn’t got poisoned by their minister of foreign affairs before, really. That’s just relatable.
I was poisoned by the Minister of Agriculture. As was half of the (thankfully imaginary) kingdom.
Well, now that the torturer woman’s face has been out for the public to see, if she had survived the burn from Eldor’s hand she’d wish she was dead.
I wonder if that was inspired by “Long live the Queen”

So they copied the last few months of Viv’s memories? That’s still a lot of evidence to arrest her on. But no, she’s a media darling.
