My comment for this page from Gaia: sic mundus creatus est:I had a lot of trouble making Lilith’s dialog in the last panel understandable. It’s a complex subject and the nuances in Lilith’s statement are lost easily when changing the phrasing without taking a lot of care.

This sounds a lot like Dr Strange telling Iron Man about the one universe in which they win against Thanos…
Fortune tellers are usually very short on strategic planning, as well as reliable note-taking.
Look, failure to plan or to bring any supplies is generally a bad idea. I get the idea is that she’s being mysterious and vague, but a how-she-knows segment of this argument would be persuasive.

Like HKMaly says, if they do too well, Eldor brings his A game and nixes all of their carefully laid plans. Lilith has very important reasons to not spill every detail, and to also sabotage some of her own team’s efforts on this. If they seem like they are bumbling and grasping at straws, then Eldor doesn’t look too closely at his own mistakes. Like how the speech caused him to overlook the whys behind his own latest experimental data.

Later in their journey they would encounter a trap which made the entire party fall from a great height, surviving because the few means of flight they had with them were barely enough to save everyone. Any extra person and supplies (i.e. more weight) would have spelt casualty.
