My comment for this page from Gaia: sic mundus creatus est:In the weeks before the publication of this page, many readers expected the scene shown in The Red Hall #39 to appear soon. However, I don’t think many suspected that there’s also a direct connection to the cover page. I spent quite some time on small corrections and improvements to the drawing of Lilith in the last panel to make it look as good as possible. For example, I improved the coloration of her staff’s crystal.

SHE DID IT SHE SAID THE LINE 😀 This was such a great moment during the original run—the big delivery after so many years of build up.
I like that subtle but powerful glow around her. She was always powerful, but now… It’s entirely possible that Elder forced her hand, and she deliberately chose a path that allowed her to use his facility to super-charge her. A hard line to walk, and a very dangerous one, but one that might have ultimately been necessary to accomplish something as major as killing Bhaal.
In any case, awesome artwork. I love the styling and design.
When I first saw the ‘vision’ panel during the comic’s original run (over 13 years ago!) I thought that she was about to start a new epic journey arc or such.
It turns out to be just a quick trip to curbstomp the final boss, but still epic anyway.
