My comment for this page from Gaia: sic mundus creatus est:I don’t think it’s possible for the inhabitants of Gaia to find out the truth™ about the first age, not even with Lilith’s help. Only Bhaal could have brought light into the darkness. But she’s inherently untrustworthy, so Lilith didn’t even bother to talk to her. Lilith is more interested in the future than in the past anyway.

Some things remain unknowable. If your only source of potential info is one of the beings responsible for the way the world has gone wrong, then it makes sense you’d think that they would only pass tainted information. At that point, you can only write off the potential information, focus on the future instead.
