Patreon FAQ

This page offers an explanation of all the details regarding our Patreon campaign.

How do I collect my rewards?

  1. After you make your pledge, you will receive a password on Patreon which is associated with your reward level.
  2. Register an account at Sandra and Woo.
  3. In your user profile, enter the received password and other info about you.
  4. On Patreon, you can find links to all the special pages containing download archives, etc.

Who gets the money?

  • Technically, Powree receives all payments from Patreon. Regarding fees, Patreon takes 5% of the total pledge amount for its service and the payment transaction fees typically add up to about 4%. If you think that’s much, compare that 91% to the less than 10% of each sale that most music artists receive from their recording company!

What will the page with the patrons list look like?

  • Like this. I may make the design even prettier if I find the time to work on it.

How will my comments look like?

  • Like this, if you’re for example a gold patron. I may make the design even prettier if I find the time to work on it.

How will the patron info be shown in the website header?

What about the download archives of comic strips, etc.?

  • They’re made available in ZIP format. The ZIP archives contain all the images as PNG or JPG files with reasonable folder structures and file names. Most images are made available in their original size and lossless PNG compression. The most notable exception to this are the actual comics which will be only made available this way to our diamond patrons.

Is all of this secure?

  • I’d say yes. For a start, you don’t have to enter any personal information like your real name or address on our website. I also installed an SSL certificate and made sure that it works correctly on every page of our website. If you check the links above to the registration form and the user profile, you’ll notice that they start with https. You can verify that SSL is enabled in the address bar of your browser: Firefox, Chrome, Internet Explorer.

Why is my patron info not appearing immediately on the patrons page (or elsewhere)?

  • While the whole process is automated, your patron info may not appear immediately because our website makes heavy use of caching. That means every public page like the patrons page is dynamically generated once and then re-used for all the following requests for several hours. Write a mail to novil@gmx.de if your info is still not there the next day.

What’s the state of the Sandra and Woo adventure game?

  • The Sandra and Woo adventure game, titled Sandra and Woo in the Cursed Adventure, is currently in development by the semi-professional developer team Feline Fuelled Games. The first four of the six chapters are already in the final bug fixing phase and the last two chapters also make good progress. The game will be published in English and German. Here are two thumbnails from the game: thumbnail #1, thumbnail #2. We’ll make an official announcement about the game, including more info about its content and full-sized screenshots, soon.

How can I make suggestions for polls?

  • There’ll be posts on Patreon for that.

How can I make suggestions for character names?

  • There’ll be posts on Patreon for that.

What chat system will you use for the monthly chats? When will the chats take place?

  • That’s to be decided. It may not be surprising that chats will never take place in the time slot 01:00 to 09:00 (1:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m.) CET (Central European Time).
