  1. I feel your pain child, I still get queasy from grey roots too, but the hairdresser makes me feel better 🙂

  2. I hope her Grey root are a little more commestibile and tasty than yours

  3. In panel six we see that Scarlet is thinner. 🙁
They’re doing well so far, but I think winter has just begun.

  4. Beets for the Beet Girl! I wonder if she knows how to cultivate cuttings? A box you can eat from every few weeks is better then no foods anywhere… The travels continue.

  5. I wonder how many calories their bodies will need to handle the poison vs the amount of calories gained from eating the grey root. Anyway, they need to get good enough at foraging to gain as much calories as they use up before they run out of supplies.

    1. They KNOW they get more calories than they lose when they eat the grey root. It was tested by generations of poor people.

  6. Do they have scientists on Laveral? Is anyone checking on the polar glaciers and sea ice?
I have a suspicion that what the Laveralans might be experiencing are the early stages of what we’d call an Ice Age. They’re lucky if the glaciers aren’t advancing yet. Also, no equatorial/tropical zones?

    1. Scientists, probably. Weather satellites, no. We didn’t saw any planes either. And without those, checking polar glaciers would be very hard.

    2. There is no sea in this world, only smaller bodies of water. The settings page tells us that even though it’s cold, it rarely snows much. I don’t think there is enough water around to form glaciers.

    3. It looks like the areas still suitable for habitations ARE the equatorial zone of some continent. The rest of the planet is, presumably, not the Ice Age, but Snowball Age; the oceans are completely covered by thick ice crust, and the continents far from equator are cold dry deserts, with all the water & ice already slide down to ocean crust.

  7. Prince of Twinks

The world becomes harder when the economy can’t provide

    1. In this case, there simple isn’t enough food available and no economic system could have changed that.

  8. So have you abandoned Sandra and Woo? There’s been no update/resolution on that comic since a page to this new work was posted a long time ago.

    1. Novil hasn’t answered, but Sandra and Woo is the “flagship product” of the SAW’s comics. If it switches to a weekly release there’s 52 weeks in a year. Even opting for a two or three-panel format, black and white to cut down on time. There’s more effort cutting, too. Silent gags, character tracing, doing different jokes from the S&W video game, etc. It’s possible, because it’s not impossible. It’s not like Novil and whichever artist he’s working with right now _can’t_ do that. But at least one of the crew, I don’t know if it was Oliver or Powree, has admitted to a lack of inspiration. But I don’t know nothing, I’m just a forumite.
