[0003] A Lesson For Life
└ posted on Thursday, 30 October 2008, by Novil
The current story arc started with this strip: A Sly Raccoon.
- Richard: Well, that’s all for now. Although I have to say that the cage of your raccoon is darn small.
- Mr. Farley: That’s none of your business. But thanks for bringing him back.
- Mr. Farley: That’ll teach you to run away, you bloody bastard!
- Woo: EEEK!!!
- Sandra: I see you two are back. Was nobody at home?
- Richard: Let’s just say one of God’s lesser creatures was taught an important life lesson today.
I hope something really bad happened to the old owner.
I have now established the rain of BlackKat over yet ANOTHER comic….and LMAO
You stole my screen name, erg…
Awww, silly man-with-ponytail had to learn a lesson… I’d wager he was graded an F
This comic strip is awful, get a new hobby.
Hmmm, what the father said sounds familiar to me…Did it come from a book?
Regardless, well done! Very funny, and its nice to see the little critter somewhere safe. :3
I think the guy took a wtf boom to the face.
Just found this webcomic. It’s really cute, I like the style you draw.
I’m sure whatever that lesson was, there was a good reason it wasn’t shown. :S
That answers my question on the last page…
frame 2: Hey my dad!!!!!!
…I’m getting out the Anti-Creep metal bat for this guy.
O_O …I’ll let the owner being stupid enough to violently punish his pet not seconds after the guy who returned it left slide, but mostly because of the implications in Sandra’s father’s third-panel comment. X3
@ FerreTrip:
Some people just don’t care. My dad found a dog roaming the neighborhood once and took it back to the owner, and the guy came out with a gun to shoot the poor thing. Dad talked him out of it and bought the dog off of the guy for ten bucks or something, and it’s been the best animal he’s ever owned.
@ Jessica:
That is just awful!! I hope that man never get a chance to be around another living creature. Its sad that there are people in this world so inconsiderate and cruel as that. I hope your family has many fond years with that dog!
@ ExPaladin:
it will be shown soon i think. one of the later comics shows that he was stuck in a cage at the park with little kids laughing at him xD
still more than he deserved though, that bloody bastard owner
@ Leslie:
? Be honest, did you write that solely to advertise, or does Oliver actually have a blog?
@ Blackhat:
there hobby is making gods greater cretures happy
EVER NOTICE HOW IN THE SECOND PANEL his expression is like yamato’s from naruto
@ BlackKat:
When used that way, it should be spelled “reign”.
If there wasn’t violence, there wasn’t a good enough punishment.
@illeatyourself: Gasp! We meet again! >_>
Really funny i like the style in which u draw 5/5
he’s dead now, isn’t he?
and i’m not referring to the raccoon
@ Blackhat:
u betta be lying
The poll to the right of the comic asked “Would you give your child the name of a fictional character?” … I’m not sure if that was specific to this comic page or just general to the site… but where is the option for “I already did”?
@ cybrpunk:
This was well done. Subtle.
It’s VAGUELY implied that the abusive pet owner got the crap righteously beaten out of him, but not shown or even really confirmed. We can therefor all agree Sandra’s dad is an all-around good dude, without having to choke down what some would see as an unacceptable contradiction; of a good dude committing an act of violence.
Well played, P&O. Well played.
On a serious note. In most cases a person who will abuse a pet will abuse a child or spouse.
And that guy was never seen again. WAIT! WHAT HAPPENED TO HIM? HOW DID RICHARD GET HIM BACK!?!?!?
Andra Andra Andra
I@ Blackhat:
Maybe you should get a new life. Actually no, just get rid of the one you have know, it’s worthless anyway.
