The current story arc started with this strip: Priorities.

Eddie Pittman has released the first issue of his fantastic all-ages comic Red’s Planet. It includes the first two chapters, some extras and (for a small additional fee) a sketch. Shipping is only possible to the United States at the moment, though.
- Larisa: We do NOT count the number of petals before plucking daisies!

The movie is “Red Dawn” about a Russian invasion of the US and has a lot of fun scenes in it like a Russian prying a gun out of a dead guys hand next to a NRA bumbersticker that says “You can have my gun when you pry it from my cold dead hand”. 🙂
well FUDGE last post i put Mrs.kecleon i meant mr.s kecleon (from PMD explorers of time,put to get back on topic all charecters have there own stengths and weaknesses…….But woo is the best! (runs away)

Eh herm before i leave 20 minutes ago (just 4 the record) was the first to realize if she plucked the flower it would land on he loves me cause there were 10-12 petals :3 so cloud DOES love her…..foreshadowing anyone?…..no?……maybe its just me…..

actually there is an easier way… don’t need to count at all: even though the possibility is not 100%.
well, flower tend to have fibonacci numbers of petals.
and fibonacci number contain more odd numbers than even numbers.
but then again, if she is really this unlucky and gets even numbers of petals… erm…

A bit late, but I *have* to say it; the quote ‘no fate but what we make’ is from Terminator 2, also featuring a burning playground , although russian culpability in burning it is limited to self-defense in a nuclear holocaust. It’s a 1980s film that higlighted the true insanity of the nuclear buildup in the cold war.
This, as opposed to Red Dawn, a truly horrific piece of cold-war sabre rattling from the same decade.

Maybe Iron Ed is around the same age. When I was 8, I thought Samantha Micelli (Alyssa Milano) was HOT! She was only 12.
I thought she was already sure that Cloud loved her. Instead of, y’know, loving her not.
Actually, what we call the daisies’ “petals” are whole flowers, made from five welded petals (the “flower” is in fact a capitulum). Since the beginning of time, we’ve all been counting daisy petals wrongly. How many innocent hearts have been torn apart because of our lack of knowledge? Please inform everyone before any more tears are shed!
… Every time I see a little teenybopper wearing one of those mini bikini things, I die a little more.
Of all the trends to imitate… that is one that comes across in the most grotesque of manners.

In fact, I’m remembering having had a conversation along these lines before, at the age of 20, sitting on a grassy bank in Halifax (Nova Scotia) in the summer… getting stoned with my ex-wife and her friends on rather bad Canadian weed.
And then a few teeny-boppers went past dressed like that, and we pretty much all retched in unison…. and it wasn’t due to the weed.
… I kinda miss Canada… or at least the bit where getting stoned in public is totally viable.
If I was, like eleven, then I would have considered this to be heavy fanservice. At the present time, however, I am disturbed at the fact that I could have seen my own nature from four years ago.
Time is such a low-hitting enemy.
