- Sandra: You can’t stay up there forever!
- Ye Thuza: Why isn’t this thing working anymore?!
- Yuna: My article on naked singularities in charged black holes is making good progress.
- Larisa: Sounds perverted. Aren’t you a little too young to be interested in that kind of stuff?
- Zoey: “Lady Münchhausen”… That’s what they called me when I talked about my daily life on YouTube Live.

Check comic #709
BTW, i don’t think Zoey deserves that title. People climbing up the trees with funny weapons and tiny girls speaking about bizzare science theories are normal things you can easily meet in a normal life. Just visit a LARPG or univercity campus. To be a true Lady Münchhausen of our days, Zoey needs more impossible footage, like politics fulfilling election promises or valve time measured.

Novil probably didn’t refer to the medical condition, but to Baron Münchhausen (after whom the condition was named), whose exagerrated classic adventure tales are probably more well known in Germany than in the US. A Münchhausen tale in German is a synonym for a totally over the top lie about your own adventures or achievements.
@ someguy:
I don’t see why it can’t be both since as you said, it is named after him – there is no reason to think Novii wouldn’t know about about the condition as well.
The apparent “normie” in the crazy town is secretly not normal too! Ah well everything is relative.

It’s refering to munchhausen syndrome in which people add fictitious facts to stories to make themselves more interesting.
Americans of a certain age may be familiar with the cartoon, “The World of Commander McBragg”, which was in the spirit of the Baron’s adventures.

That would be a viable comic if you added the twist to their power that nobody rememebers or even notices that it was them that did the heroics and always assume it was some other A or B list hero. Well except for Squirrel Girl.
Poor Thuza XD
@ dragonsister:
Thank you for that.
This strip should win an award for Most Obscure Reference Used as a Punchline, that made 2 readers laugh and confused the hell out of the other 998. :/
@ Hinoron:
Make that 3.
@ Sinsults:
There is some question as to whether or not that actually happened, given the rest of the content of that strip.
We sing a song
A song we’ll sing
And we will make the rafters ring
Sit down right here
And have a beer
And sing to the graces of
The Baron Von Munchausen!
Anyone else have this cartoon of the stories?
