I think I would watch Larisaball on TV.. unless people actually get permanently injured while playing it (on a more regular basis than for example in racing).

Erika Fuchs, née Petri, was a German translator. She is largely known in Germany due to her translations of American Walt Disney cartoons, especially Carl Barks’s stories about Duckburg and its inhabitants.

Eh, not every ‘strip has to break the laws of physics and/or sanity to be funny. At least Larissa was all fired up.
INflammable. If something can be INFLAMED, if it can be PUT IN FLAMES, then it is INflammable. And if it can’t, then it’s “UNINflammable”.
(Before you ask: yes, I’m aware that the proper term is “fire resistant” or “flame retardant”, and that everything is inflammable if you have enough chlorine trifluoride.)
The original translation by Erika Fuchs was part of “Die Eignungsprüfung”.
Larisaball sounds like a kid’s version of Urban Brawl.

I would contend that miniature golf is a more evil option. At least Larisa is upfront about the specifics of Larisaball.

Flammable and inflammable are both fine. Ultimately inflammable comes through French usage (enflammable), whilst flammable didn’t acquire the French style prefix. I’d expect flammable to come more easily to a German mindset.
The thing that gets me is people trying to use “inflammable” in place of “non-flammable”.

No, flammable in inflammable are the only two choices. Inflammable is supposed to be NOT able to be on fire. Like innumerable, or insoluble. Not counting fire resistant and fire retardant- resistant is able to catch on fire we just want to sell it to you anyway, and retardant is that it doesn’t immediately put out the fire but it’s fancier than using water so someone thought it was OK.
I don’t think there’s an insurance in the world that would cover Larisaball.
Most fire insurances usually have an “Acts of Larisa” exempt these day.
Miniature golf seems to be more Zoey’s game, and no “THAT DOESN’T COUNT” from Sandra.
