- Armin Fish: That was my favorite hand! You’ve just made yourself a powerful enemy! Our revenge will be swift and terrible!
- Richard: What will you do?
- Armin Fish: First of all, we’ll instantly terminate your DSL contract!
- Richard: And…?
- Armin Fish: … And that means you’ll have no choice but to switch to our competitor Comcast!
- Richard: NOOOO

what….
Either that “NOOOO” was sarcastic, or Starnet was the lesser of the two evils.
DEAR GOD, NOT COMCAST!
How ungrateful. He got away with just a decapitated arm. If he had taken Sandra, then the company would have likely been:
1) Burned down
2) Cut to ribbons
3) Spammed into submission
Umm… why is the dude not bleeding? O_o
OMG! Is this some kind of alternate dimension where comcast and man-eater co. are the only internet companies? cause that means that dimension sucks/jk
COME ON!!! it can’t be worse than Dial-up Internet access…..
..err….right…?..?..
Why use DSL? it’s so last year. Comcast ain’t so great, but it’s better then DSL…
Well…that was a bit of a disappointment…or is it?
To be honest, I really hope that this is completely made up, or some kind of weird nightmare. This comic usually focuses well on real-life events, or something close to it. This is just completely unimaginable. Unless this is the Devil because of Sandra’s summer lemonade, I will have to admit that this is below standard for this comic. That won’t deter me from reading, of course. I look forward to a (hopeful) soccer post for Euro 2012. USA soccer fan here, but I’m rooting for the Germans overseas. 😀 Technical and perfect.
NOOO! Comcast’s tv service sucks!!!
His face is kinda creeping me out… And where’s the blood? O.o
I like Comcast. And yeah, where’s the blood, why the heck would he have no choice but to do so if the contract didn’t say he did, and why the heck would Fish’s arm just come right off like that if supposedly eating humans should be rather nutritional? Now that I think about it, how much ya wanna bet Richard is just faking the “Noooooooo” thing?
His favourite hand? Is it the one he uses for countersigning contracts? Or his preferred hand for grandiose finger pointing gestures? I feel his loss. But I also feel he should be set alight, miles from any flammable structures, or convenient bodies of water.
As for Comcast, would StarNet be a case of “better the Devil (or decomposing revenant) you know”? >:=)>
Comcast isn’t so bad… I mean sure they took away most our channels and messed up our phone service but… yeah nevermind…
If vampires are real, then blood-less salesmen can be real to
@ Starkittens:
At least my phone company actually comes by and FIXES the problem instead of saying it’s my fault a lightning bolt struck the house and fried the circuitbreaker, the powerstrip, the cablebox and the TV
lol, ah all I can say for comcast is that their customer service isn’t horrible… yeah that’s it.

Because you only need blood if you have a heart. Which is why Armin Fish, along with lawyers, oil tycoons, and people who talk in theaters, don’t bleed.
Or if he happens to live in the itty-bitty, tiny-tiny-oh-so-tiny area it covers, AT&T.
Uhm…you sure showed me?
lol wish Comcast was an option here, or even DSL (they can’t give us anything more then a 1 Megabite because of crap lines in my neighborhood). Stuck with the spawn of satan, Cableone. Though I don’t have a first born so sadly I wouldn’t be able to sign up for Starnet.

Erm… their customer service guys have lots of practice… yeah…
The shark. It has been jumped.
@ teezoen:
Dude, this is a comic where Raccoon can talk and bats give you money when you beat it down, I don’t think you can expect this to be ultra realistic do you?
Time for Cloud to lead an underground movement…. Underground ISP that is…..
Well, thank god, it’s g-
No… NO… NOOOOOO!
DAMMIT! THE SMILE! IT’S BACK! IT’S BACK!
Oh come on. Comcast is certainly better than Starnet. They only require you to donate a kidney and name your pet “Franklin”
@ Sand Fox:
Right never mind. God forbid I post any kind of criticism of any comic at all. Every comic he posts is perfect. Nothing is ever wrong with any of them. I was momentarily insane when I made that post.
…And he’s just gonna let him get away?
Luckily my internet is ok, no rip offs, good service, HUGE download limit, and decent speeds, but I remember when we had a service provider like this…
@ ekimmak:
Demanustrated.

Ah, sarcasm…but Sand Fox did have a point. Heck, one the earlier comics involved Cloud dressed up as a superhero practically flying through the air like a bad-ass (pardon the most accurate phrase I could come up with) to tackle a random bad guy.
As unrealistic as that was, I was hardly shaken when I saw a bloodless, man-eating internet service provider.
You could always try Rogers 🙁
Comcast, ick. I feel your pain Mr. Richard. I had to deal with those idiots for my internet back in Memphis. Thank the Goddess that Optimum is the provider for most of southern Wyoming.
That said, is it just me, or does the name of the cannibal corporation sound suspiciously like a certain xenocidal rogue AI from a certain popular sci-fi movie trilogy?
@ The Aussie Bloke:
I believe the last installment had a big clue when Woo said he tasted “totally rotten”, He’s undead and I believe a Ghoul. No beating heart no bleeding.
Comcast is great, I used to have their internet but then I canceled it.
Got free internet for years after that while they tried to figure out how to turn it off.
we have comcast at my parents’ house, and we haven’t gone one month without some kind of serious problem with our service. The fact that this company is still in business is proof positive that we do not have a free market.
if he has to switch to comcast then the evil internet provider must be…A.T.and T.!!!
actually any cable system that offers the funimation channel (even though it’s on demand only) isn’t that bad…
We need more competition in the media market. No, it sounds frivolous, but there is very little divide between access to entertainment and access to information. Currently, these companies are competing against us for government support. They should be competing against each other for our business! How can we as individuals be expected to compete against collectives of millions of people and billions of dollars in capital even for control of our own government?
Well, I’m kinda disappointed the German translation doesn’t gives me T-Online. Because they really suck and I would have reacted like Richard. Are they even present in the USA?
that’s right continue the fight without your hand, you make the black knight proud
@ rallyjr:
Ps: but your still going to lose
I really have no idea what to say about his webcomic
I mean its heavily marketed- and that’s good?
I like some of the plots, I read through the entirety of the comic in one day
But I do sometimes wish Sandra and the gang were a tad older unless Novil plans on aging them linearly, that might be cool
Ah the thing I appreciate the most is how its (usually) heavily inspired by newspaper(Traditional) Comics and I always get a Garfield vibe from this comic which I love
This plot line isn’t doing anything for me however.
Well thats my critique of the comic I just thought I’d share (and be voted down)
Probably never gonna post on these boards again
Just get a satelite uplink. And completly forget any mediators.
personally I’m happy to (hopefuly) see an end to this miniature story arc. Haven’t been exactly thrilled with the way the strip has diverged from it’s usual standards, first with the “hand from above” and the talking sandwich (though that was a dream it was still kinda ridiculous), now there are zombies and vampires running all the companies (oh and Gaia has gone for weeks now without a single line of dialogue). Did Oliver go on vacation or something? please bring back the real comic.
I don’t know about in Europe, but Comcast in America is truely evil incarnate! If given the choice of giving my first born to a blood sucking, man eating, zombie lawyer vampire and switching to Comcast… I would have given him my first born!
Wow.
Given my own history with Comcast, I can say without a doubt that he should have just given Sandra to the guy.
@ NightStarX:
…it would have been a LOOOOT less painful in the end, if he had. -_-
