- Sandra: The electoral campaigns for Northia’s first parliamentary elections are in full swing. The most promising candidate of the opposition is just giving a fiery speech. He has no idea that the event will be busted in a moment by…
- Sandra: Woozilla!!
- Woo: RAWWR
- Sandra: But it’s not just the raw power of this giant monster that makes politicians shudder everywhere.
- Sandra: They’re even more scared of its perfectly photoshopped photos that show them doing the Hitler salute.
Wow, not a good day for stuffed politicians.
Woozi… wait… What?! WTH did i read?
I love panel 4. You should make a large version of it for people’s desktops
Now that’s what we call a political strongman – er, strongraccoon. What could possibly hope to stand against it?
Cloud: *tsk* *tsk* It looks like the Commonwealth of Northia needs a guiding hand once more. Now this guiding hand gives belly rubs, and this guiding hand does happy scritchies…
Yeaaarh! not my public image, not my public image!
Mighty head rip is mighty!
Photoshop has more power than any monster…….alive?!???
“I was framed…after I was shopped!”
Just think, if we did this with actual politicians, we could blackmail them into running the country properly.
How did Sandra manage to make one of her plushies sweat?
Anyway, Sandra agreed to set up a democratic government, but she’s not doing a good job at it. I think this is a sign that Cloud isn’t kissing her enough.
2 more till 500!!!!
Opps i meant 3 @ Ryanvxii:
I feel like a line has been crossed somehow….oh well.
THE MOOSE! THE MOOSE!!!… Is a NAZI!!!!!!!! :O
*plot twist*
Does this mean that Boris & Natasha were the good guys?
Moose & Squirrel were the bad guys?!?
My childhood is all kersploded!
Wow I did nazi that one coming….
@ Greenwood Goat:
And this guiding hand pokes in the ribs when you are doing the wrong things, Woo. Stop destroying Sandra’s old toys!
*grabs onto the nearest wall to prepare for the flood*
I have just one thing to add here.
I found the real life Woo and Sid.

@ tahrey:
OMG That is adorable!
@ Neospector: people need to get on this now!!
Well… couldn’t resist to comment on that last panel too. I guess the ‘inappropriate comments’ you deleted were because of the prominent swastika banner shown there.
As a German, while I see your intention behind it in the story (a straightforward way to ‘blackmail’ Sandra’s political toy opponents as right-wing / nazi persons), I do find this a bit unfitting and disturbing. Simply put, whenever someone wants to display racism, dictatorship and such, they almost always make a reference to Hitler. Sure, the Nazi regime is connected to a specific symbol, and thus it’s way easier to refer to than for example the Ku-Klux-Klan, the apartheit in South Africa, racial segrecation in America until 1948 etc. or any other dictator in history, like Stalin, Saddam and similar folk.
But since references to Hitler and nazi happen way more often than to any other similar person or events, whenever this happens it feels to us Germans like the whole world sees Germany and only Germany as the synonym for racism, dictatorship and genocide now and for all eternity… which is why seeing this picture simply felt disturbing to me.
To understand what I’m trying to say, imagine for example showing Monster Woo destroying a perfectly-built model of the World Trade Center, producing a picture similar to the ones that were in the news when the planes crashed in and/or when the towers fell. I guess many Americans seeing this wouldn’t just say, “Hey, what a cool idea / nice reference to japanese monster movies”, but would just feel disturbed, even though there was no bad intention behind it.
It’s your comic and your artistic freedom, just wanted to point this out. 😉
@ Yellow:
Oliver is German, dude.
@ AckAckAck:
Sadly, I foresaw that bad pun xD
@ Plague #11:
Doesn’t negate Yellow’s interesting point there, Oliver doesn’t speak for all Germans. ^^ I can understand how upset people are that their country seems to be misrepresented everywhere.
German = Nazi too often in Hollywood, forgetting the Nazis persecuted their own people as much as everyone else. I personally do think it’s time we move past it and stop automatically using Hitler as an example of the ‘worst thing ever.’
Just something interesting to bear in mind.
@ Plague #11:
The artist of this comic is German? Well, I didn’t say that ALL Germans have this ‘German Guilt’ feeling in them whenever this swastika symbol is used to display ‘general wrongness’. But I do believe that many have it…
Never imagined the artist to be German, because for example, when Princess Celestia was about to dunk the rapper “50 Cent” into the dip (comic strip 0341), he started his sencence with ‘bi–‘ (most likely wanting to say ‘bitch’), then corrected it with ‘princess’. Since that ‘bi–‘ wasn’t changed in the German version of “Sandra and Woo” (like ‘Schl–‘ for ‘Schlampe’ or similar), I was totally sure that the comic would originate from an english-speaking person. 😉
Ah well, the comic is very good nonetheless, and I just _love_ the imaginative plays the characters do occasionally.
@ Yellow:
bonus points for anyone who has done their religious homework, and know that the swastika is not actually a swastika and actually a symbol that the Nazis stole from Buddhism.
Political mudslinging! Oh Sandra…..
I’m pretty sure the photoshop thing is a direct reference to all those Merkel = Hitler ‘shops, caricatures etc. you can see all over southern europe these days.
Woozilla has blackmail. All he asks is for is food to keep that poster a secret.
Yellow wrote:
The whole world sees Nazis as the synonym for racism, dictatorship and genocide. You getting this guilt thing is just silly.
As if all Iraqi feel guilty whenever someone mentions Saddam Hussein. No they don’t.
Actually as a Buddhist I am offended that you think it is or ever was a Buddhist symbol.
@ mindwarper11:
The swastika was used by Buddhists (anybody remember that flap in the late 90’s about that Japanese Pokemon card with the swastika on it?), Hindus, Christians (it’s a form of the cross), Hopi Indians, etc. It’s a universal religious symbol.
Read Sign and Symbols of Primordial Man by Albert Churchward
The Nazis appropriated the left-hand path swastika, not the right-hand path more commonly used by others.
Actually, pretty sure the original swatika predates Buddhism by a couple thousand years (and also Christianity)
Here is one American’s perspective:
Hitler pretty much [as a symbol] was the worst thing ever and 1940’s Germany was a damn scary place. But after a trouncing and several decades of the cold war, the modern Germany is seen as a friendly nation and an ally. I am learning the language and have plans to visit in a couple years. The only thing old Germany has in common with the new Germany is the name.
Relax, we don’t think you are monsters. We don’t equate Germans with racism or hate anymore.
[I say “as a symbol” because Stalin and Mao were bigger villains but they had better press.]
@ Yellow:
You know, most people don’t associate Nazism with modern Germany in the slightest, which puts everything you’re complaining about squarely on your shoulders. The whole world isn’t going to pretend the holocaust never happened just because you’re uncomfortable with it, but it’s well within your power to realise that people referring to Nazis aren’t talking about you (unless of course you are one, although I find that highly unlikely).
