Asking me for directions = Instant doom.
- Jack: Richard, I’m looking for the function to determine a Hamiltonian cycle. But I just can’t find it in our 10 million lines of code.
- Richard: Give me a second.
- Richard: Is it this one?
- Jack: Yes, it is!
- Jack: How do you always do that?
- Richard: I saw the method once in 2006, when I was working on our math module.
- Jack: Awesome!
- Driver: I’m looking for the company “A+B Tech.”
- Richard: Uhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh……
Reminds me of me… I also can find some weird places in our hundreds of thousands lines of code. But I don’t even know what other companies are there in the building that I work in…
Why does the driver need to ask for directions? Everyone has GPS now.
@ Tucci:
Wow, you’re like the main character from Mr. Robot. That’s not an insult, just an observation.
Poor Richard’s a mild case compared to Dr. Norbert Wiener, a history making brilliant mathematician. Check out the last few paragraphs at:

The story of his family’s move has stuck with me for years.

GPS by itself can’t direct you anywhere.

And if I had ten bucks for everytime I’ve heard of or personally seen someone getting led astray by his navigation system, I’d buy me a nice house. I would be able to afford it.
“How do you always do that?”
REGEX! 😀
Am I the only one who saw “Hamiltonian” and then was sad that it wasn’t about Alexander Hamilton?
Alexander Hamilton
My name is Alexander Hamilton
And there’s a million things I haven’t done
But just you wait,
Just you wait….

Over reliance on technology can lead to unawareness of one’s own environment. This (among other reasons) is why I still have an old flip phone, no GPS and look up directions on an actual map. (paper doesn’t crash or run out of charge just when you need it the most)
So not EVERYONE has a GPS, but then if you don’t have one and still need directions, then you deserve to be lost.
LOL. I resemble this one, immensely.
