So… what exactly did she find? Was Larissa ballot-stuffing?
What, she’s going to claim that she won the popular vote but lost the Electoral College? Zoey, that doesn’t work in school elections.
Please, don’t let it be a hanging Chad. I couldn’t bear to see Chad hung.
I’d bet she found a vote that could be interpreted as invalid. (Spelling error or “Sandra (I love you) or something)
Or Larissa really faked a ballot…?
My bet is recognizing the handwriting of someone, who voted differently then she thought.

Suppose Zoey did find out after looking through all the thrown out votes that she did win the election by a slim margin and that the initial result was an accident. Should she even be awarded the class rep position?

Novil doesn’t usually beat a theme to death, so I doubt what Zoey noticed would affect the tally. But she probably noticed that someone voted for someone she wouldn’t have expected that ey would vote for.

Even if something *was* wrong in a way that would change the result here – we’re talking about an openly sore loser finding this evidence by somewhat sneaky means, with no witnesses. Would anybody believe her? (Possibly her close friends – but anybody in a position of power?)

She’s getting votes from the bin. Couldn’t some of the binned votes be from when someone spoiled their ballots?
Wait… Even if she recognized something wrong with the votes, she’s the only one there with no witnesses. It would be easy for someone to claim she doctored the invalid vote. I mean she obviously has tons of motive, and this hasn’t been a very clean election.
I just had another thought: Assuming that the ballot papers have the names already printed on, maybe a cross is placed so that it crosses 2 boxes?

If you zoom into the 2nd panel, you can see that they are not pre-printed, as there are some with Zoey on top and some with Sandra, and if they were pre-printed, the first name would always be the same and one would be able to see multiple names at least on one of them.

Some have suggested that Larisa has tampered with the votes. However, I don’t think she could have done so during the voting process. Most likely the student just wrote down the name of the one they voted for, the teacher took the notes and then counted them. There would be no room for Larisa to tamper with anything there. Zoey is also holding a vote for Taylor, not Sandra.
It is however possible that Larisa convinced Michelle or somebody else just to not vote on Zoey, but that doesn’t have to be the case at all.

Zoey having less time for Michelle or maybe seemingly being more interested in becoming the class rep than in Michelle may very well be the motivation (or a point Larisa made to manipulate Michelle if we’re going with a Larisa manipulation theory). I think Michelle is Zoey’s friend and not girlfriend though, but your reasoning can work with a friend as well.

With the vote count being right and the look on her face being like that it is highly probable that what is on that paper is Mona Lisa equivalent of doodles and she is going to pass it around with praise like it is the best thing since the wide spread implication of reliable internet.
