I really like this one. But what are the art Styles?
I have
1) Stone Age
2) Vitruvian Racoon, so basiccally ancient greece or renaissance
3) Picasso (?) so a classical modern style
4) Salvador Dalí, surrealism
5) Japanese style. Maybe Edo period
6/7) I have no clue
8) Japanese Manga Style. Probably from the 1990 (?) I’d say definitly pre 2010s
1) cave art
2} Italian Renaissance
3) cubist
4) Surrealist
the rest only show the top half of the panel and I’m not sure of them but I would call the 8th ‘Pop’
@ Regis Earsquake:
2) Is probably Da Vinci
5) I agree with old japanese style. Pretty sure I have seen the picture it’s based on but cannot remember name and artist.
6+7) Yeah, absolutly no idea what this is based on, but 6 looks minimalistic.
@ Regis Earsquake:
6 is just a play on the symbol for Venus (or a female) unless I’m missing something. 7 could be based on Edvard Munch, its giving me Scream vibes.
1. Prehistoric / Lascaux Cave System
2. Renaissance / Leonardo da Vinci
3. Cubism / Pablo Picasso
4. Surrealism / Salvador Dalí?
5. Ukiyo-e / Tōshūsai Sharaku
Less sure:
6. Minimalism (I guess?)
7. Vincent van Gogh?
Dunno about 8, but looks Japanese. Lmend, why Lichtenstein, is there a particular painting that looks a lot like that? The plus/star eyes are something I usually see in modern Japanese stuff, and aren’t these girl sailor uniforms a Japanese thing too?
I know the painting you mean, I had a quick look on google there’s a painting by Sharaku of the Kabuki Actor Ōtani Oniji III as Yakko Edobei in the Play The Colored Reins of a Loving Wife

I assume:
1) Prehistoric – cave art
2) Renaissance – Vitruvian racoon – Leonardo
3) Cubist – Picasso
4) Surrealist – Dali
5) Japanese – Ukiyo-e – Hokuei?
6) Abstract – No idea
7) Post-Expressionist – Henry Rousseau?
8) Pop art – Roy Lichtenstein
With color, this would make an awesome print. Sad that this is post 1076 as it won’t be in the anthology, but I’m sure we’ll see it again someday in another form!
Variety!!
Nice montage!
Wow I’m second, potentially.
A Powree triumph! Great work, you’re very talented.
I like the way that, in the panel done in the *Grotte de Lascaux* style (panel one), the ur-Woo looks much bigger than Primal Sandra. ^_^
(Or maybe it’s just perspective)

7 makes me feel like it could turn jumpscare. hahaha

Hahahaha, 4 didn’t “click” for me at all until someone else said it! Just wondered why it looked so familiar. The floppy Woo is disturbing.
I like 5. Also 7, but I don’t recognise the reference in that one.

@ Anna:
“Floppy” Woo reminds me of a scene from the “Coraline” movie! 🙂
Having another writer’s block eh Novil ?
Funny. Nice to see someone else take a stab at a “Vitruvian Raccoon” design…
#8 is Roy Lichtenstein.
Wonderful stuff. I think the DaVinci Racoon is my favorite.
I put my wild guess here, too:
3. Pablo Picasso
4. Salvador Dali
6. Keith Harring (?)
7. Vincent van Gogh oder Edvard Munch (?)
Trying to piece it together:
1. Prehistoric / Lascaux Cave System
2. Renaissance / Leonardo da Vinci
3. Cubism / Pablo Picasso
4. Surrealism / Salvador Dalí?
5. Ukiyo-e / Tōshūsai Sharaku

@ Shikari:
that looks about right
We need more Sandra in a sailor fuku
I’m at a loss for words here.

Yes, we do.
any chance of returning to standard schedule from thursday on here and on Gaia?
Art through ages, starring Sandra and Woo.
Powree is showing off his artistic versatility.
5) reminds me of Octopus Pie
Panel 3 looks like Canada’s new loonie.
@ Lily:
Actually Poweree is showing off HER skill as an artist.
Looking at Panel 7 makes me think of Munch’s “Scream”. That said, I’m an engineer not an art expert.

@ Vandroiy:
What is with today’s youth? #8 is obviously 1960s pop-art, a la Peter Max.
