Very nice – although I wonder if any other raccoons are going to try and muscle in on their romance this year – 🙂 I haven’t seen any actual raccoon courting this year (last year was a different story, but the weather is crazy this year), so I’m not sure how things will turn out here… hopefully Woo’s got better luck than the coons have had here – 🙂
BTW, I’ve voted the past 4 days on the Web Comics 100 and haven’t seen any sketches – is that a logged-in only thing?

The quasi-porn and sex drive are really not the point of this strip, guys. This is a meaningful representation of what many guys go through, and the question of what they really want. When you get down to it people don’t seek a relationship so much for the physical pleasure they have urges toward as for the mutual love and respect they can give each other — to be understood and appreciated on more than a superficial level.
So show some maturity. Cracks at Tiger Woods, etc. are uncalled for.
Man are horny till they fall in love, then they are just suckers (been there, done that)
PD: and men love to be suckers
As a guy, I have to say both aspects of relationships with the other gender come into play powerfully for us.
Perhaps the physical lust angle is more powerful before a serious relationship, but the psychological aspect of being with the other becomes much more satisfying once you enter into a serious relationship.
I doubt it happens quick this quickly, of course, but it is a comic strip after all. You go Woo! I’m lovin’ it!

huh, weird. The strip I saw on my FeedDemon shows Woo’s heart-shaped eyes on the last panel. But when I go to the website, Woo’s eyes is normal. Is there’s been an update or something?
She looked better when you drew her for the first time a couple of strips back…

You’ve got a glitch in the incentive page that prevents the image from appearing in WebKit browsers. I’ve been checking it for the last few days and not seeing the image until I checked the HTML source.
After the uxIncentiveMessage span tag, you have an unbalanced comment starting before the block that contains the uxIncentiveImage img tag.

I dread to think where this is gonna go, but damn it’s a true story if there ever was one.
Also, I greatly admire anything that convey such a serious and infrequently-expressed message as this without using a single word.
I hope she becomes a new character.

Oh, dear… I hope it’s just the jaded cynical side of me seeing the potential for major-league grief here. Having watched this sort of thing many times over many years (and even been part of it more than once), it’s hard to tell which is worse, the endless gnawing anxiety over not being attached to someone — whether it’s physically, emotionally, or both — or the tremendous clash of highs and lows, stomach doing backflips and heart pounding, smiles and tears, that seems to be the exclusive province of Love At First Sight, that most poetic and inscrutable of mental illnesses. 🙂
I wish Woo good luck; he’s gonna need it, even if it all works out for the best in the end. And I have a feeling the punchlines will be flying thick and fast before that time comes!

I just discovered Sandra & Woo today so I’ll have to start going though your archives to get the whole story. But I have to say Raccoons need love too and its nice to find a furry cartoon that’s not Triple X rated.
This is a gem, a total gem.

Or the clever use of the branches in front of the thought balloons?
