This week, Sandra and Woo celebrates its second birthday. 
To celebrate the birthday, we will publish the three page long comic A Day to Remember by Powree on Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday this week. Powree has already posted the first two pages on her DeviantArt account some time ago, but the third page is new and I have rewritten the dialog of the first two pages.

Oh, yeah… changing billboard slogans… One of the harbringers of the apocalypse?
And locusts – a harbringer of obese spiders.
I wonder… does Richard usually take Woo around with him? Or is Sandra in the car with hime as well? By the way, happy birthday!!

OK, we know Richard is a lead developer in a web technology company. So his livelihood might be threatened.
Possibly of more immediate concern though, Woo looks like he’s trapped in a car with rolled-up windows. A lot of pets and infants die that way. And since Richard has the phone, he can’t place a call for help. (I’m assuming he’d call Sandra. Calling Police or Fire would leave the mystery of the “unknown person” who reported the problem.)
If Richard just got out of the car and slammed the door (waking up Woo in the process), why is he standing on _that_ side of the vehicle? Unless the strip is set in England or Japan. 😉

Or maybe I’m just jumping to conclusions.
I love how the rye (wheat) sign has been replaced by the locust sign. i.e. the swarm of locusts is descending and devouring everything in sight.

Wow! I came here arounjd comic 100-120 and then stopped checking back for updates, then came back about a day before the second year anniversery. I must say, great job on the comic – it was a very good read. 🙂 I love all the storylines the most because they seem significant.

It does not help that it seems like they just ate the Rye concern.
For some reason I did not expect this but this ark about Richard unemployed (obviously) looks promising.
It’s good that you let your characters feel the hard reality of “our” world.
Don’t think that’s a billboard, that’s the company sign on the building. The scaffolding the workers used to get to it is throwing you off. If it is a takeover, he might get to keep his job (might). If its been sold outright then it is really up in the air.
Perhaps the fact that he’s locked in a car? mhhhh, i wonder.

Maybe Woo is also looking at a sign change across the street with an equally amusing catch. The look on his face seems similar to Richard’s. Then by the 3rd strip, Sandra is there too in the car and sees another sign change.

I wouldn´t worry about Woo, guys. I´m pretty sure he can open the car door if he´s getting too uncomfortable – they´re locked, but that usually only means they can´t be opened from the OUTSIDE without a key.

well, I just reading tearjerker tropes in tvtropes so this could lead to Sandra’s dad losing their home because they can’t pay the mortgage, leaving them homeless, Sandra and Cloud separated due to child service taking her away…….

If Sandra and her dad lost their home, I´m sure they and Woo could move in with Sandra´s grandparents on their farm… so, drama, yes, but no disaster.
Lulz, he’s saying “This isn’t a good sign” in the comic, yet the words after say “This is not a good sign”. :3
Well, there’s a chance his workplace changed owners, but he might still have his job. It just be under new management.

Changing sing, a line that makes you have a bad feeling, the phone rings right away when he says that and Woo seems to have sneaked into the car… Okay we all got bad feelings for the rest of the weekend… THE SUSPENSE!!! D:

I know that “GmbH” in German means “Inc.”, but what would be the translation if it wasn’t the abbreviation?

It’s the same as the British “Limited Company” (“Ltd”) or the “Limited Liability Company” (“LLC”) in the USA.

Only question left: Why would Woo sleep there in the first place?
About the dangers of locking some helpless being inside a car: Yes, that can be dangerous, if the locked-in being is unable to free himself/herself/itself, which would be true for a human baby or a dog. But a raccoon like Woo should have no problems to open a car door (he also somehow got inside there in the first place, didn’t he?). Even if the doors in the back have some child safety lock, the front doors shouldn’t have one and should be easy to open.
