This strip is based on an entry by Zsolt Somogyi for last year’s fanart contest. I thought that the visual punchline in the last panel could be improved with a different setup.
- Lily: Mrs. Honeysun, to what do I owe the honor?
- Mrs. Honeysun: The reason for my visit is, alas, not a pleasant one.
- Mrs. Honeysun: For I cannot help but reproach you for not raising your offspring properly.
- Lily: Excuse me?! How can you say such a thing?!!
- Vega: GNRRR
- Mrs. Honeysun: Well, for starters, they show an alarming lack of understanding of the food chain…
- Lily: Vega!!
Methinks Vega is an ambitious child. 😀
She’s got a point.
well, at least she’s learned how to tell them apart
Note to self: Exposing infants to fire may make them more badass in later childhood.
Wow Vega, don’t you think your being a bit overbearing?
I mean, someone’s got to teach that furball paws on vs paws off!
I really hope the child doesn’t get smokeyed.
But still, its being a real pain in the ursa.
@ EdHead:
I see what you did there ;>
lol
Well at least the bear was nice enough to deliver Vega back
A raccoon’s reach should exceed her grasp, else what’s a heaven for?
Be careful, lest someone introduce Vega to firearms, like what happened to a certain squirrel.
There’s always one child that will drive a parent crazy. I was such a child for different reasons.
A raccoon eat a bear. This might be a beginning of a revolution.
Such a polite bear, obviously they have some serious PR issues.
Maybe the Ursa Union should be suing someone for slander.
@ EdHead:
That’s downright unbearable.
We all know the racoon is just identifying as a much larger predator, and as such should only be encouraged in its behaviour to empower its self – even if it isn´t a very realistic goal when it ends up being eaten in the real life. 😀
Squee! More Lilly and her kits!

not much helpfull against a bear… she would need a high caliber rifle to take down a bear.
Pistol or revolver would help you only if you at 30 metres hit an eye and it penetrated to brain…
Vega being a racoon version of Larissa?
@ Frank:
Agreed! More Woo. More Racoon!
Oh – this is a lovely one…
I think Woo kids have been hanging out to much with Ruth.
Hmmm… literal free-range kid.
Lily doesn’t seem to respect the food chain that much, either, or she wouldn’t have bared her teeth at a FULLGROWN BEAR…
This one really cracked me up, I can’t bear it…
I think Vega has bite off more than she can chew
No, seroiusly this was really funny. With the lastest strips I fel SaW is back on the tracks.
Thanks for the laughter Novil
i dont really like lily. she can be a b#tch sometimes
This was the most funny strip in quite a while.
I love it! 😀
I have just finished reading the entire archive. Sandra and Woo is by far the beast thing to happen to the world of entertainment ever. I also wanted to know if there is any chance that coloured strips will return. Great work, keep it up!
Stupid auto correct. I meant best not beast@ Lorcan Darcy:
Vega is developing Woo’s prowess at hunting. :3
Kitch wrote:
Not really. Woo has always been a competent hunter, Vega is currently not.
@ Rock:
Considering she is a mother of the things in question, most all wild animals, especially mothers, ate very, very aggressive to everything thretining their children
Dawwww… how adorable he thinks he is an apex predator…

You ought to check in with the Fish and wildlife service or the National forestry service.
They’d tell you what caliper of bullet kills more bears each year.
It just so happens to be .22
Well if you’d stop tasting so delicious this wouldn’t be a problem.
I love the language. Reminds me of Pride and Prejudice (and zombies) a lot.
That would do it.

All characters in this strip are female. Sorry to sound like a grammar nazi, but it should be she, not he.
Just give me long enough, I’ll finish…
What a well spoken bear.
be happy its a momma bear, if it was a bachelor grizzly he would have ate vega with berries
Fun fact: Bears and raccoons are actually pretty closely related. They’re also both close relatives of pandas.
