Steins;Gate fans (and people who want to become one) should not miss the news article about my encounter with an IBM 5100 I just posted. It contains a few encoded messages that shouldn’t be too hard to decode for hobby cryptographs.
- Larisa: I never knew that you’re such a pervert, Cloud.
- Cloud: I’m not!
- Rintaro Okabe: Is everyone okay!?
- Cloud: “Steins;Gate” has a fantastic science-fiction story with lovable characters! And there’s not a single lewd scene in it!
- Larisa: I’ll believe it when I see it.
- Kurisu Makise: Kyaaa! What are you doing!?
- Cloud: Except for this one, apparently…
- Sandra: Cloud…!

Yep, Steins;Gate is amazing. Though honestly I don’t remember that scene either… was that only in the manga?

@Ajedi32 Steins;Gate isn’t based on a manga, it’s based on a visual novel. That means computer game. And yes, it has some lewdness, but avoids all-out nudity. It’s relatively quite tame.
I’ve come to the conclusion that Steins;Gate is like Street Fighter 2. Nobody remembers 1, and nobody cares about 3.
Then again, to some degree, can’t really blame people for that. In both cases.

I always hate it when I claim a video game is good for kids, when the one disturbing part that I forgot about happens. “Don’t worry, Mom. The T rating is just for the swords and stuff. You don’t even fight anything other than monsters.” *People disturbingly turning into monsters* “…see? Uh… monsters.”

Rating systems make little to no sense. What they deem inappropriate or appropriate hardly standardized and most of the time they will only note content when done in “excess.”
Ah, Cloud, I also was once a teenager. No need for the embarrassment (especially around Larissa) you’re perfectly normal.

I have to admit that the expressions on all three in the last panel are great. Between Larisa’s smirking smile and sideways glance, Sandra’s speaking glance (I can almost put Desi Arnaz in there saying “Lucy…..” ) and Cloud’s dying of embarrassment (at least as bad as when he had his problem at the beach a few years back) it just all comes together. Yet another reason I’ve been reading this webcomic for so long and look forward to doing so for many years to come.
If anyone is going to instantly find a lewd scene, it is Larisa.

Lol. Unless I misremember, that shower scene is the only scene with actual nudity in the visual novel. Bad luck Cloud!
However, there is some violence and tame gore.
This reminds me of when I hear people say that Clannad “doesn’t have any ecchi fan service.” Yes it does. You just don’t remember it.

At Cloud’s age I was into science fiction stories without any lewd scenes. But then, there was no Internet to make more interesting material readily available, and the school library didn’t have any “visual novels” (i.e. comic books).

I was gone for a little while. And when I come back, suddenly I see Larissa is fighting cupids, saving boy scouts and becoming a succubis. Had to read through from the beginning to catch up.

maybe, but somehow I don’t think she’d mind her kids watching such things… assuming she makes the kids fast enough but given the rate shes heading… I really doubt that’ll be a problem despite the short time she has to do it 😛
I get that it’s a joke that this visual novel only has a single scene like this, but this needs to be the final strip about it, otherwise it’ll devolve into that blatantly one-sided, over-the-top, breakup-worthy teasing like when they were at the lake and Larisa noticed the problem with Cloud’s trousers.
