I’m nearly in my thirties and have never had any affection like that, what does it feel like?
“Just as”, and in many cases, even more so. Guys have remarkably fragile egos, which we tend to cover up with bluster, braggadocio and belching. Sometimes farting.
Ladies interested in learning more about guys should turn to the ultimate guy manual: “A Complete Guide to Guys: A Fairly Short Book” by Dave Barry, the foremost expert in guys around. Therein, you’ll learn everything from where standards came from (women) to why guys are so thoroughly involved in the space program (because guys like neat stuff, and by neat, I mean “mechanical and overly complex.”).
This is coming from a gay male who likes gaming; if someone ever defends CoD as “the best” or even just very good, you’ll probably be taking the role of his parent, not his girlfriend/boyfriend.

this is all too true. I’ve never even gotten that kind of “genuine affection” from my now ex-wife! it came instead from my closest friends. whenever I would have my PTSD nightmares when sleeping, she’d hold me under her chin and calm me down.
