- Caption: Later that day.
- Sandra: Oh, is it something to wear? Maybe a cute sweater?
- Cloud: He he he.
- Cloud: Everything will be fine, Cloud, everything’s gonna be just fine…
- Richard: Sandra, your grandpa wanted to say–
- Grandpa: What, for Heaven’s sake, is that?!!
- Sandra: Uhh, Cloud…
- Cloud … So this is what a near-death experience feels like.

Bound to happen? Unless there’s something more still in the package I don’t see any bondage gear. Besides, 13 is too early for even a succubus to be recommending that stuff. Maybe 16 if Larissa proves to be as successful as she ought to be.
Wait, are we talking real world consequences of one 13 year old boy buying a thirteen year old girl inappropriate clothing? Because this is America we’re talking about. Everybody gets sued and the media blames the Millenials.
@ Crystalgate:
Cloud could always pass the puck and say that it was Larissa’s idea. That would work.
@ green gear:
You might say that that was a…Dick move.

Cloud actually is a millennial though.
I just realized, Grandpa dropped a gift.
@ oledakaajel:
…while having a small heart attack. I doubt his face will ever look the same again.
Forever contorted by that which he has witnessed.
Other theory: Larissa, Sandra and her relatives are in cahoots on this one, and are actually playing a prank on Cloud. Wouldn’t be the first time the two made fun of him in a risqué situation.
I do have to say, though, that lingerie really is way too risque for Cloud to have bought Sandra. Should have gone with Footie Pajamas instead.
Oh look, grandpa does leave the farm every once in a while
@ TvTropesgotmehooked:
Now there’s an idea: Grandpa has a heart attack and everybody focuses on that.
I’d have pretended it was not my gift, and the lady at the store must have mixed the packages up ^^;
Now cloud will carry a something with him where ever he goes
@ myth buster:
Next scene: funeral procession. Then Cloud wakes up from this nightmare. Goes to the movies with Sandra.
Ignores Larisa for a week, and the poor girl has no idea why!
*Covers mouth in horror*
I’m too afraid for Cloud’s saftey to want to continue reading this arc.
But I’l going to anyway because schadenfreude.
I think the question marks around Sandra’s head are the biggest concern. Even before dad and grandpa walked in, this wasn’t going well.
I usually just add about 3 years to the ages of the human characters as I read Sandra & Woo, because I find them more believable that way, but regardless of age, Sandra’s expression indicates that this was a poorly chosen gift. And Cloud’s angst all week indicated that he knew that. Best path from here: apologize for the dumb gift, return it, and buy a pretty sweater. People can continue to argue about age appropriateness, but the real point is that this isn’t a gift Sandra is comfortable getting from Cloud (whether or not she would have bought something like it on her own), and he knew her well enough to expect that. It would be reasonable to tell Sandra later, in private, that Larissa had suggested the idea, but he can’t put all the blame on her, because he did buy it himself.
Dad will get over this if Cloud apologizes (for giving Sandra a gift that embarrassed her), given that he did walk in without knocking and clearly anticipates that Sandra is mature enough to make her own decisions in this area. Grandpa will either turn out to be reasonably cool, or will wander off in a daze and never speak of this again.
But what was grandpa going to say? I MUST KNOW!
That’s a little premature…you’ve got to survive it first for it to be near death.

Only if Richard is stupid enough to get the authorities involved. However, his practical outlook on Sandra’s relationship in previous strips suggests that he will probably try to keep this between his and Ye Thusa’s family in order to avoid just what you said. It’s harder to tell about Sandra’s grandpa though, but chance is Richard can convince him to not do anything that could seriously hurt Sandra. I guess well see in future strips, unless this comic goes around that issue which is also a possibility.

Why would that work? He can probably convince others that it was Larisa’s idea, but ultimately, he went along with it.
“I-It’s a nose strap and ear warmer set. See?” *Cloud grabs stuff and arranges it on his face.*

I second that!
@ Crystalgate:
If you look at the way that her dad and grandpa are entering you can see they are actually opening the door
Blaming Larisa is definitely not a way to go for an amateur superhero.
Arent wrote:
Was that before or after Landon though? Larisa is evil, but she seems to genuinely love Landon now.
@ Crystalgate:
This is true. Also, while Larisa did suggest buying it, she didn’t actually force Cloud to do it. This is all on him.
That being said, at this point, I’m pretty certain Larisa has a larger plan going on here, because I look at the fallout of something like this and it would seem that Larisa could, at worse, stand to lose two friends as a result of the sexy lingerie prank. Unless she didn’t think this through all the way, which would be par for her. So someone’s probably in on it with her, probably Ye Thuza because she really likes to prank her children. Possibly Richard, though I doubt it. More likely that Sandra and her Grandpa are in on it though.
Hope Cloud’s got all his affairs in order, I don’t think he’s gonna be around much longer…
@ Tomas:
Well, a scubbus of the devil
If I were in Cloud’s situation I probably wouldn’t even be able to think over the sound of my own mind crying itself to death.

Look at https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Child_marriage then consider if mortals can surpass succubus.

I’m of course joking. I don’t think she really plans to separate Sandra & Cloud.
Then again, why not having *both* Landon *and* Cloud? 😛
@ oledakaajel:
None of them are millenials. They would have been born in ~2004, not entering young adulthood around the turn of the millenium.
“It’s at this moment Cloud knew…He f***** up.”
I see it playing out that cloud gets shamed to the point of leaving and never seeing Sandra again or something similar. Larisa sees cloud leaving all distraught and starts to feel guilty, then goes and rectifies the situation.
@ Saru:
Agreed. If he’s a grandpa he’s gotta have some experience in that area. 8^D
Uh oh XD
Can we see her model it?
No Cloud, this IS death.
You’d think Cloud would know that parents have this sixth sense about entering a room at the most inopportune time, especially when they’re accompanied by someone who would be even LESS understanding about the situation they see.
