heh
It was Grandpa.
heh
@ oledakaajel:
Oh, don’t be silly. It was Yuna, you know it was!
Abu Dhabi might even be too close.
@ 1oldbear:
Or Ye Thuza, or both, or Grandpa.
It’s Grandpa.
Also heh
What bothers me the most is that the meter for the rhyme is WAY off.
“Yes, i have a beautyfull girlfriend, who now owns a set of sexy lingerie, that i bought her. Now, how many of you can claim the same? Thought so…”
Cloud… I think you are going to have to go to the moon.
Wait, but “lingerie” has one more letter than “kissing”.
Larisa!!!
The rhyme works a lot better auf Deutsch; the meter doesn’t line up here but it does in German.
Dude, Cloud. Think it through.
You’re in high school.
And the same high school as Larisa.
You are NEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEVER hearing the end of this, blue.
*That off rhythm*
Ouch, my OCD…
Did Cloud seriously enter the classroom?
I think I know which one is secretly the moe magical girl with tragic backstory.
I imagine the last 2 letters being said together quickly to share the spot of the “G” in “K-I-S-S-I-N-G”, so it’s not TOO off-rhythm. “I-E” flows together well enough to do that(can sound like “AYEE”, which is still appropriate for this situation).
After hearing a lot of foreign versions of songs, it’s surprising just how flexible a rhythm can be while still sounding natural, whether it be two 1/8 notes instead of one 1/4 note, or a single syllable keeping the notes of 2 syllables.
So this is confirmation, that he himself packed himself…
Or take the opportunity to do an about face on the matter and say ‘It Was originally for me, but I thought it would look better on her.’

This is one reason why I don’t believe in a literal Hell. Karma on Earth is always swifter and crueler.
there are some things you keep in the group chat.
whoever snitched gotta go

That’s right. People can’t make fun of you for something you’re proud of.
At least they can spell “lingerie” although perhaps they looked it up on dictionary.com first… 😉
You don’t really say the last “e” in lingerie anyway. So I don’t see a problem with that. I don’t know that song though [English isn’t my native tongue]
@ Regis Earsquake:
Well, it is a transformation of another ‘song’. Just an annoying school-yard rhyme. It normally would have gone…
“(name #1) and (name #2)
sitting in a tree,
K-I-S-S-I-N-G”
With “kissing” completely spelled out.
So, it is a little bit off. But it is kids making fun of another classmate, completely believable in my opinion.

I’m not sure how this qualifies as “karma”, seeing he gave in to temptation for maybe a second. It was from a friend, too, someone he knew and trusted.
Karma would be if Larissa, or whomever told the whole class, were to be embarrassed instead of Cloud.
Or if, in the next update, the teacher walked in and praised Cloud for being in a stable relationship where he was comfortable enough to buy sexy underwear.
(sorry for double post, I accidentally submitted before finishing)
… That oughta embarrass all the other students who either aren’t in a relationship or are too shy to buy their partners underwear.
@ CAD97:
Isn’t the creator of this comic from Germany?
don’t mention “Don Corneo’s Mansion”
I know adults who have to try three times before they can spell Lingerie correctly. How long did these kids rehearse?
for all complaining about the Verse. it does work, but you have to use abit of a different Rythem. You know how not all Names have the same syllables? But yozu can still sing happy Birthday for basically anyname by either stretching or shortening the notes in that part (Happy birth day dear Eric works as well as happy birthday Maximillian)
so for this to work just use quaternotes for the N-G-E and it will work just fine
L – I – N-G-E – R – I – E
like that
The good news is that this will be a lot less embarrassing for Cloud once the classmate see that Sandra is still lovy dovy with him. The bad news is that this may then affect Sandra negatively.
I wonder who told them though.
If I remember my days in grade school, this is a pretty accurate reaction.
Not Shown: Everyone’s internal jealous admiration at the guy who has working knowledge of girlfriends, lingerie, and combinations thereof.
…then comes San-dra with a ba-by car-riage.
@ badbloodkiller:
Yeah, there’s a link at the top to view the German version, which is what CAD97 is referring to. It has a different rhyme.
Its not like Cloud can’t make an example or two out of a few of them.
I’m wondering who told them about that.
He should just react with an annoyed “No, I’m not showing you pictures!”
I’m thinking that Ye Thuza (Your dear mother) would have hunted you down and publicly shamed you had you ran off. Best just to face it and hope they move on to the next thing before too long. Also, body armor wouldn’t hurt.
@ Carl W. Roden:
He COULD, but the REPERCUSSIONS oh who am I kidding 😐
@ Lord Gorogok:
His character stats make the armor penalties too restrictive, he’s better off with mobility gear or standard clothing.
Poor Cloud :c
I know the web site says to ” spread the word”, but who spread it to the classmates of Cloud!?
Gonna be honest, not the reaction I was expecting from the other boys
This is one of those things that u will never live off Cloud, 20 years in the future ppl will still remember u of it.
I like the characters’ expressions. The boys have a mocking look, of course. But, the girls’ expressions are more varied — mostly interested.
I suppose we can count out Cloud ever joining G.R.O.S.S. then.
Now that’s scratching my suspension of disbelief. I mean really? A whole classroom of 13 year olds… who can successfully spell “LENGERIE”?
…LINGERE.
…LENGIRIE
…dammit.
