For Zoey to perform such a dive after leaping from an “unstable” footing, I think that’s pretty amazing.

I should laugh at Sandra like Cloud and Larisa did, but truth be known I was also afraid of the high dive at her age. I STILL don’t like heights now at 41, but I got over the fear of high dives after I did it once and didn’t die. 🙂

Everyone’s all impressed by Zoey’s dive, but I’m just concerned about Sandra’s head. The force exerted by a teenager not just standing, but pushing off for a dive, is a lot of pressure to put directly on someone’s skull. Plus, it looks like Zoey drove Sandra’s head into the diving board chin-first when she stepped on it, and slamming someone’s jaw shut like that is a good way to break their teeth.

I’ll worry about real-world consequences when Woo turns mute and dumb, (current meaning,) Yuna can no longer cause black holes in her living room, Larissa loses the ability to ignore physics whenever it suits her.
I wish people would walk on my back that casually. Impromptu massages are great as long as you know who’s doing it.

Who here thinks that this is building up to something Epic, Embarrassing, or both for strip 1000?
Actually, if she wanted to know how Hillary felt, should have had Larissa release lies about her, everyone say she couldn’t be trusted to do the high dive, even though she’s been diving for years, people question if she was doing illegal dives, despite no proof, and then have Larissa give Zoey steroids, and after Zoey dives, have her have a diarrhea and pee in the pool while vomiting, and people say that the pool is perfectly fine, nothing wrong, and that Sandra would have done worse.
Sure hope Zoey got in a streamline position before hitting the water – she’s going to break her neck if she hits the water face first like that!

Was Zoey just being mean and taking the chance to literally walk all over Sandra, or was she being nice by showing her that it’s really not so bad, or was she just no willing to wait for Sandra to move, or a combination of some of the previous options, or all of the above? YOU DECIDE~!
I dunno, if Sandra had been just the slightest bit more assertive here, Zoey would have slipped and fallen in sideways. Some room for improvement, for sure. (Am I extending the metaphor appropriately?)

Zoey may not be the nicest person around, but she does get the “cool points” for that phat dive.
It seem everyone is able to, more or less, manipulate the laws of nature.

Comedy is about pain. Period. In most of comedy there is an element of schadenfreude. Sometimes it’s the pain of inverted expectations, or perhaps the release of pain/tension, but schadenfreude is the most common pain in comedy. We laugh hardest during The Three Stooges when poor Curly is getting worked over, during Friends when Ross is going nuts because of his love for Rachel, etc., etc. If you have a problem with a main character getting some mild humiliation, instead of comedy, might I suggest macrame?
I’m pretty sure Zoey is the main antagonist of this series at this point. Just like Hillary was the main antagonist of that election…then again, the other guy was an antagonist to. Wow, either way we were screwed. It was Evil-lary vs Dumb-p
To know how Hillary felt, she would have had to have arranged to compete against the worst possible diver she could find as an opponent, then screw up and lose anyway. And then blame everyone else, including the guys selling the hot dogs that her opponent scarfed before bellyflopping to victory.
