Here is the obligatory link to our ongoing Kickstarter campaign for the Sandra and Woo: 10 Years anthology and the art book The Art of Sandra and Woo!
Creating the books was a huge amount of work, but it all paid off in the end! The books turned out great and I’m very proud of them! I hope you’ll like them too.
If you have missed the news: International shipping is now available as well!
- Letter: Dear Woo, the journey to K2 was long and arduous.
- Stewardess: I’m sorry, but we’re out of grape juice.
- Butterfly: Groan
- Letter: The ascent won’t be a walk in the park either, but we’re prepared for all contingencies!
- Letter: Our morale is therefore as high as it can be!
- Butterfly: It’s now or never!
- Flint: Yup.
- Butterfly: Never it is.
- Flint: Yup.

“All contingencies” indeed. Bikini swimsuit and hawaiian shirt for mountain climbing.
Nice to see Flint and Butterfly getting more cozy with each other.
oops the point is it says
“newline”
I can’t help but feel that this may be an act of (Raccoon) God(dess).
@ Thisguy:
my thoughts exactly! seo DID want to hook those two up before already, and if an avalanche is what it takes to change butterfly´s plans from climbing with her ‘climbing partner’ to tropical holiday where flint will finally become more of a life partner, that avalanche it IS!
Very decisive, yes? ^_^
Y’know…if K2 doesn’t work out, Gashebrum I and II (the 11th and 13th highest mountains in the world) are pretty much next to you, since you appear to be looking at K2 from Concordia. #12 Broad Peak is on the other side of the Baltoro Glacier from K2.
Might I suggest Cho Oyu (#6) instead? It’s generally considered the easiest of the 8000ers to climb.
Isn’t right after an avalanche the safest moment to climb? Everything is down already.
@ EdwinHab:
Does Ye Thuza have a moment to spare to properly deal with this “gentleman”?
Four years to reash the base of the mountain… what a trip.
Wait… So now Woo isn’t the one talking raccoon in the world?
Also, raccoons have wardrobes (a collection of clothing rather than the item of furniture)?
An airline that doesn’t discriminate against non-human species. Cool.
One of my cousins and his emotional support human were recently thrown off an airplane down in Florida. I’d like to pass the name of this airline onto him for future flights.

Since right after an earthquake isn’t the safest time to build a house I would guess that an avalanche doesn’t mean there aren’t any more about to go down.
@ Asrial:
I do hope so.
Rules say:
@ 627235:
Earthquakes are not avalanches, though it would behoove them to give it an hour. Also after the aftershocks die is the safest time to build a house.
“It’s now or never…my love won’t wait!”
@ 627235:
The avalanche may have started after the sun warmed the snow enough to soften and come loose…a common thing, even high up on an 8000er…and just one reason why you might abandon a climb.
It’s a looooong way down.
Wait, why would you need a bikini when climbing a mountain?
How DID they board a plane?..
@ Nikary Flare:
They used the stairs, like everyone else.

Well, perhaps… but “Easy” and “8000 m” in the same phrase make it an oxymoron, and/or an oxy- deficient one!
@ JohnTheWysard:
Cho Oyu IS considered the easiest of the 8000ers, relative to the other 13 peaks. That doesn’t mean it’s actually an easy climb….NOTHING is easy that far up.
Even so, Cho Oyu has the highest number of summits after Everest (Everest and Cho Oyu are the only 2 of the 8000ers with more than a thousand successful summits.)
K2, Annapurna, and Nanga Parbat are all far more difficult climbs (hence their far higher fatality rate).
I preferred it is “GRRR”
