GUNGNIR DATO?!
YAY! 😀
@ Shark:
The cataclysm was actually supposed to be the riot organized by Mr.B that would have had a cascade of effects. The Lava moat prevented that first domino from falling, but of course Sandra and her dad don’t have the reader’s knowledge.

Omae wa mou shindeiru” Something like “I know you or we know each other”. Subtleties of Japanese elude me.

Not to mention that she’s a known cosplayer. I wouldn’t read anything into what she’s wearing until given context.
Or, in this context, perhaps “Omae wa mou shindeiru”, can be translated as “I pregnant.”?
YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSS~!!!
This needs to happen. I need a solid pick-me-up for 2020
Yay! *prances and dances*
Lava moat….
Nani….
Things are certainly going to heat up from here!

Pretend?

Mirab, with sails unfurled!
I vaguely wonder how Sandra will react to Mrs. Butterfly who seems barely older than herself…
1) GG dad!
2) Eww, gross
3) ?

Should I have put a “j/k” in my post to show that I wasn’t serious when I said that was Hitomi?

My feelings exactly. Apolitical humor is all about ignoring politics.

This is the same comic that tackled issues like the war on drugs. I truly am sorry if my opinion offended you. I just wanted to get some stuff off my chest. But art is political in and of itself. Always has been.
Also – we’ve gone from lava moats to lover-boats, cause these two getting SHIPPED!
I knew it 😉
Bear in mind that everyone in comic just assumed it was going to be a bad thing.
Is there any way this could be bad?
“Omae wa mō kikon.”
“NANI?!”
Panel 2 of 1186: “I’m 100% certain that a dramatic event will turn your life upside down. And it will happen in exactly five days at 8:37!” The possibility of the event not being bad was brought up and subsequently dismissed via pointing at a calendar (it’s been quite a year, huh?), but Hitomi showing up DOES fit the prediction! That was a smooth one, Oliver/Powree!
Is Hitomi really a highly skilled undercover ninja?
Has she been hired by the competition to take Richard out?
@ Why:
so she’s wearing a school uniform
@ shazz_smifff:
so much for the html tag

Ah, another day on the internet. We have the one guy who can’t let go of politics and thinks the American center is a bunch of right wing authoritarians, (Pff, anyone with real knowledge knows that the center consists of Tim Pool’s fence) the freighter full of shippers, and talks of if the japanese words we speak actually mean what we want them to mean. Ahhh…
For the record, I do think Sandra will find this, per the initial wording, a “dramatic event.” If Hitomi is here to stay, and I don’t see why she isn’t, that’s a fairly big change in trajectory. So doff the politics, and proffer my ticket, I want on the steamer.
Well I for one am glad for Richard and Hitomi’s sake. And Sandra’s; as far as cataclysmic events go your dad having a renewed love-life must be one of the least damaging.
……… (turns around. Pulls out champagne and fire work)
“Boys, today we celebrate the return of our ship!!!!! Bring out the booze, bring out the cigars, he’ll, bring out All the good stuff”

Indeed, I’m looking forward to it!
Remember, Rich’s probably mid- upper-30s & Tomi’s about mid-20s so it’s workable let alone feasible!
😏👍
Jim
Woo would like that.
I just happened to be listening to hooked on a feeling when I read this and it’s perfect
Has she been quarantined since arriving in America?
“What?!” indeed!
@ Cyber Robert:
I see it as a kind of tone-deaf South Park-style “political incorrectness” because going “against the grain” is funny, while it ignores that dangerous people are out there saying the same things seriously and agreeing with the joke whole-heartedly.
How cynical am I for thinking this is going to turn into a ‘Yandere’ situation?
Cyber Robert wrote:
Wasn’t that just Sandra’s school being either stupid or ignorant?
@ Dracke:
Or wicked stepmother? Remember the Grimm brothers were German too…
KS wrote:
Especially as Sandra’s dreams pointing to this were very violent.
What I really like is the resourcefulness of this girl, just showing up at the other side of the Pacific. And she looks happy and confident. Nothing of the prejudiced conception of a shy Japanese girl. School uniform cosplayer or not, this is a girl who can take care of herself.
Actually, given my observations, I should have called her a woman, not a girl. 🙂
Cyber Robert seems to forget this comic also made fun of insane feminists.
@ Why:
Guessing she might be into cosplay?

What worries me is that according to http://www.sandraandwoo.com/2020/06/15/1186-therapy-session/ , the event cannot be something good, because this is 2020.
