In tennis, “game” is just a smaller scoring category. She won first game, but not the set and not the match. To win a set you need at least 6 games won, and to win a match typically 2 or 3 sets won.

You’re absolutely right, Smash looks awesome in that first panel. I can’t help but suspect that you come up with these story arcs just to show off art sometimes.
That referee would have all my respect, in the real world. She is, in a refreshing way, politically wrong. Great!

Well, losing a (as in one) game isn’t too bad in tennis.
losing a set is somewhat worse,
and losing the match is rather final.
