I don’t think anybody would believe me if I said that having two consecutive story arcs in which Sandra prevents someone from going to the basement wasn’t planned at all.
- Sandra: Wait, Dad! You shouldn’t go down to the basement today!
- Richard: Why not?
- Sandra: Because we’ve set up your birthday present there!
- Sandra: It’s something super awesome!
- Hitomi: However, David and Jack wanted to paint it black, not pink!
- Hitomi: Hitomi could avert disaster in last moment!
- Hitomi: Men!

I’m not sure I’m following the logic here. What am I missing?
I’m also kind of lost. Feels like we’re halfway through a story arc.
1) Who are Dave and Jack?
2) Why in Heaven would Hitomi think that Richard would prefer pink?
As someone who wrote a story without thinking it through in advance and had two consecutive chapters end up involving the full transcript of the same exact theatre play and thus looked very redundant: yes, Novil, I do believe that this wasn’t planned at all.
I know what happened: Hitomi is evil and she is responsible for replacing Sandra with a robot. Nobody seems to have cared about the fact that Sandra and Woo were tied up and locked in the car trunk the other day tho. Instead, everybody was talking about how smart Larisa is for revealing the truth.

David is probably Cloud’s father, David Williams – I don’t know who Jack is though.
‘You don’t know Jack.’ Clever, clever author the pun has not gone unnoticed.
To be fair the first ‘Sandra’ was not really her.
Jack is probably the bearded coworker of Richard. The last time he appeared was not too long ago, in the strips about marble race.

My wild guess for »Jack« would be Luna’s father, »Mr. Herrera« since I’m pretty sure that »David« is Cloud’s dad. He appeared just a few times without being tagged.
I see a basement and I want it painted black!
…and here I am, imagining a pink batmobile (or something like that) XD
I swear that’s the first thing that came to my mind, don’t know why

Unless there’s a second character with the same name, Jack is Richard’s coworker.
(And Mr. Herrera’s first name is probably something less English-sounding, given that he’s hispanic.)

2. Hitomi loves everything cute. She probably thinks that pink is an objectively superior colour.
My guess is that the awesome present will be a man-cave for Richard. But a pink man-cave. And I am happy to see Hitomi again! 🙂
