So potentially 27 charges or one consistent portal that offer access to the Shadowkeep… lost. Knowing how wide Eldor’s influence and forces were spread, a point of concern. Also, a very finite resource. I imagine the Shadowdancers might have found a means to replicate the green gunk (otherwise it’s a little too finite)… but did they have the maki-techie skills to replicate these things?
Maybe Eike discovered it more or less by accident, or was not 100% sure of what h was doing and said “oops we should not have done that, the little cubelet is destroyed… well we should not do that again and keep the others for very very very important purposes”.
One of these very important purposes was saving Lilith.
