I agree – The rain and the magic umbrella is beautiful. I love seeing details like this that show magic in more every-day kind of uses. It makes it feel more a part of the everyday world instead of just being a way to kill people without cutting them up.
I also really like the inclusion of the couple in the foreground hiding under the cape or something. It’s a dreary scene, and yet they’re happy and smiling as they go wherever they’re going. It’s a fun contrast, and it is interesting how it both emphasizes the dreary rain while also showing that it’s not actually an unhappy day, it’s just a wet one.
There’s just so many really neat details scattered through all these comics. Wonderful art!
Something seems off about his logic, though. The way he says “You only stay at an Inn as a fugitive if you have no safe shelter.” sounds like an argument for them being in Greendew, but somewhere other than at an Inn; not an argument for them being in an Inn.

I think it’s the phrasing. I suspect the intent is to say “If you are a fugitive with no safe shelter, you can only stay at an innd.”
